Comments: read the reviews on the envy rods and thought I would take a chance and buy one. I got the 7'6" medium heavy. It is an exceptional rod, well balanced and sensitive. Just not as sensitive as a G-Loomis GLX or a Dobyn's Extreme Champion. (I own several GLX's and dobyn's extreme. I believe it better than the G-loomis GL2 or IMX, just not the GLX. They are still a nice rod and worth it.

Comments: Bought a 7'6" MH on black friday from TW, and oh man this rod is just amazing! fished all my buddies rods, Dobyns Champion, Savvy, Phenix recon, Crucial, clarus, powell max, and man this rod just blows them all out of the water. The backbone is awesome! the power is great! it's nice and light! the guides can't be beat! and this rod is an absolute beast! caught a couple of nice bass. Even tested it on stripers and pulled in a 13 pounder on it and it stood no chance. i really recommend getting this rod if you're looking for a new rod.

Comments: Just picked up the 7'1" MH and it's an awesome rod. Not sure why 13 Fishing rate the power on the low side. If anyone plan to pick up the Envy Black. Go with one power lower than you normally would. The 7'1" MH has a lure weight of 3/8-1oz. Most other rods this would be a "Heavy" classification. Should have bought the Medium instead of the MH. Hope 13 Fishing addresses this. As for quality, it's a superbly made rod for the price. Guides are a bit noisy but that doesn't bother me. They are spaced out perfect and straight. The gripe like most people stated, it's about an inch shorter than my Dobyn's DX 734C SH. So for anyone that plan to buy the Envy Black just look at the lure weight instead of going by what 13 Fishing labels the rod at.

Comments: I have been using the 7'1" med/hvy for 6 months. The rod is very true to its power and action. It is the most sensitive rod I own. Compared to the Helios rod, carrot stix wild and pg series, powell inferno, and phenix recon 2 this rod outshines all of them. Although it has a price at 50 dollars more it is well worth the extra cash. I have been fishing it with my T-rigs and using it jigging for white bass and it has lead to more fish in the boat. I would recommend this rod to anyone who needs a great all around medium heavy rod. Paired with a revo premier this is the combo I hardly put down.

Comments: 13 fishing customer support is top notch! I bought the Envy 7 foot 1 medium casting rod and actually broke it on my first fish. I think the rod was damaged during shipment and eventually broke out on the water. Anyhow, I sent the rod in and had a new one in less than a week! These rods are awesome, no issues with the replacement rod. I will be purchasing more 13 Fishing rods soon!

Comments: Just bought the 7'3" med hvy and all I can say is wow!!! Very well built, light and sensitive..
From: James: SD
Comments: Purchased the 7'1" Med/Hvy. Have not been able to use the rod yet due to weather, but handling the rod has brought joy to my Revo Premier and I. This is a quality rod with the action corresponding to its label. It is a true medium heavy with a nice tip. After I test drive the rod I will post an updated review.
From: Eric: Houston, Tx
Comments: I use in saltwater. Brought in some 7-9 lb Redfish in record time. Have the 7'1" MED & it can handle the bigger fish. Black Recoil guide are the best and hard to find on a non-custom made rod. Rod will hold up no problem there. My only complaint is that it is not sensitive enough - hard to tell what size fish you have on the end of your line = I think they need a MED-LT blank or even a Light blank, that would be SUPER. Bass fishing the MED would be perfect but I fish plastics and need a MED-LT rod. Weight wise this is an awesomely light rod with a comfortable grip.

Comments: Hands down the best rod on the market! The components on these rods are the same as the ones on $400+ rods. Super sensitive, light weight, durable, balanced, and at a GREAT price. If you are thinking about buying one of these, go ahead a pull the trigger you will not be disappointed.
From: Michael: TX
Comments: Would be my favorite rod, if the fore-grip wasn't on the rod. I would rather my finger be on the blank instead of a foam fore-grip. Other than that, it's a great rod. Very light and sensitive
From: Brandon: NC
Comments: I got the 7'1" medium and put a Revo MGX on it. I thought i would use it for crankbaits but i love it so much I can't put it down. The thing is so light and sensitive. I find myself leaving my other rods on the deck and tying on different lures. I'm using 15Lb fluorocarbon and put a beaver with a 1/8 oz worm weight on it and I can feel every leaf. I set the hook on the 1st few rocks that I hit because it felt like a bite. Even though it is a medium you wouldn't think it of it as a worm rod but it has a fast tip that leads into the backbaone about a 1/4 of the way down the rod for good hook sets. I only have a few older cumara rods in this price range to compare it to. This is a GREAT rod. I will be getting more Envy Black rods.

Comments: Believe the positive feedback! This is one outstanding stick. Purchased the 7' - 3" MH Envy an couldn't be happier. Been fortunate to have fished Loomis rods most of my life and I would put this rod right up there with them. I paired it with a Lews Tournament Pro and it is a perfect match. Put it to the test on some bass and northern pike in MN last week and it was amazing. Light, sensitive, solid backbone on hook-sets, very sweet looking and so comfortable to fish with all day. Loved it so much I picked up another one from a local tackle shop on the trip, sorry TW but it was calling my name! I will definately be purchasing a heavy action for flipping soon and I hope a cranking rod is on 13 Fishings radar in the near future.
From: Chuck: Lansing KS
Comments: Excellent Rod! First impressions revealed amazing attention to details on this rod. The 7,3MH is light, sensitive and has a unique taper with lots of tip, and the backbone to go with it. 10/10!
From: Sprog: South Africa
Comments: After using these rods for over 8 months now I have to give these rods 2 thumbs up! Rods are light, tough, sensitive, and well balanced. Rod models I've been using are the 7'6 MH, 7'6 H, 7'11 H, and the 7'3 H. The 7'6 MH I found good for throwing c-rigs, worms and jigs, and small swim baits. The 7'11 H has really been impressive punching 1 and 1/2 ounce baits on Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn, and Red River. Good tip with great backbone. The 7'6 H model is also great for punching and heavy flipping. this rod also excels at deep water jig fishing. As for the 7'3 H I have found this rods to be one of my favorites! not a broom stick! It's a great frog rod! I use this rod also for deep structure fishing and also for swim jigs as well, such as California swim jigs with big swim baits used as trailers. Handles on these rods are different than I was used to but took no time to appreciate. I have used Shimano Cumara generation 1 rods for years and they are still one of my favorites but 13 fishing Envy rods have filled a void left by those heavier action rods that Shimano doesn't have in Cumara generation 1 or 2 rods. Looking forward to the envy composite cranking rods!

Comments: I bought the 7'6" heavy extra fast tip. Pros is it is sensitive good taper nice looking. Good back bone no problems horsing fish in. The cons I didn't like was it was slightly on the heavy side. For 40 ton graphite I thought it would be lighter but I don't know if it was the heavy action that made it heavy or if that's how 40 ton graphite is for weight. My falcon bucoo from Walmart is lighter by far. I also didn't like the fact that mine came a little beat up with the clear epoxy chipped n scratched. For this kinda money I would have expected basically perfect condition. I don't know if I gotten a used one or not but I was not happy with the imperfections. Overall I'd give this rod a 7.5 outta ten. Would have given it a 9 but due to weight, imperfections on a new rod for looks I gave it what I did. Would I buy another rod maybe I don't know. Imma have to try different brand. Oh and I didn't buy it from tacklewarehouse I got is from a local big box where they didn't have it to hold. I had to order it in and buy it without seeing it

Comments: I am a flipper, when I saw the Envy Black 7'6'' H I was immediately taken with it but was even more impressed over the past 3 months flippin docks, wood, and rock up here in the north country. The sensitivity, power, accuracy, and balance are all excellent, and I truly value the recoil guides- I was a dobyns guy for several years but had multiple guide inserts shatter on multiple 765 champions while flippin with floro. The only thing I would request from 13 is a 7'11'' or 8' Moderate Hvy/XHv flip stick for mat punching (braid). If bass fishing equals flipping for you, pick up a 7'6'' Envy.

Comments: 13 fishing is taking over rod building. I bought the omen just to see if they were worth all the hype for a 100 dollar rod. I must say i would have been fine fishing all omens the rest of my life. Unbeleivable balance and sensitivity. Then i bought the envy and now im selling everything off. Only rods ill use just hope they give a better option for cranking. But the envy or omen theres both just rediculous. Awsome company thanks 13

Comments: all im saying is im now selling my glx's and switching to these
From: Alex: Mooresville N. Carolina
Comments: Im a Dobyns guys, always have been, though i always would be, well, after reading all the positive reviews on these, i needed another rod, and thought, you know what im gonna try one. my favorite dobyns rod is the 744 split grip. the 13 ENVY rod 7'3 MH is pretty uch same exact specs as the 744. took it out for te first time last week, and it really really suprised me at how well this rod performed. Almost couldnt tell a difference between it and the 744, except for the handle. the balance might even be a tad better, sensetivity is just as good if not better, weighs about the same, i love the recoil guides, overall this is an excellent rod, very comparable and on par with some of the best rods out there, for way less $$. its a keeper in my book.

Comments: just bought a 7'6'' H-XF envy rod/ feels ligther than the stcroix tourny 7'6'' mh-mf and gl2 7'5'' H-F, once snow melts here in minnesota and bass season starts, will submit another review on its performances...
From: Bassaddict: MN
Comments: Based off the reviews from Tim form TX. and Blake from AL. i decided to pull the trigger and go for the 7'3 MH, I've been fishing it all week, ive had this rod and a dobyns champion extreme 744 on deck this week and thats it. the dobyns is a standard setting rod of very high quality, and to be honest, one of my favorite rods of all time. these 2 rods feature almost the EXACT same specs. Straight up, the 13 envy rod out performs the dobyns. better tip, about same backbone, by far more comfortable handle, and sensitivity is higher. if your looking for one rod that can literally do anything ( I fished jigs, football heads, c-rigs, t-rigs, spinnerbaits) this rod is it. Like others said, JUST BUY IT. 7'3 MH is the new standard in my world.
From: Mike: Orlando, FL
Comments: Just Buy it, 7'3 MH, youll be set and i gurantee you'll change you rods over to 13 fishing's envy line of rods. simply amazed at the quality sensitivity and power. the tip guide looks to have an insert on it. very comparable to glx and champion extremes. sensitivity of a nrx thats for sure.
From: Tim: TX
Comments: This rod is incredible. I got one after my partner raved on about how sensitive his was, and he wasnt exaggerating. This thing looks great and fishes awesome. I have a few now but i would go 7'3" medium heavy if you are looking to try one out. I think this is the best all purpose rod i have ever used, i also have a 7'1" medium and a 7'3" heavy equally as good just not as all purpose as the mh. I like the recoil guides but they are a love em or hate em kind of thing.
From: Blake: AL
Comments: I have never settled on a rod brand because I struggled to find that balance of performance, value, price, quality, feel etc. At the recommendation of friend I got the 7'11" and this thing is the real deal. I won't even say it is good for the price. It just a great rod period. I am in the process of switching all my rids to the Envy series. Great product.
From: Jesse: New Richmond, WI
Comments: These rods are in the same boat as a loomis glx/nrx or a dobyns champion extreme. VERy VERY nice rods here. the tapers are perfect. a nice tip that transtations fast into a STRONG butt. Just soo sensitive. i know a factor for some people are the recoil guides, but 13 is coming out with a new guide system for these rods here shortly, so well have to see how these rods are then. but man for $250, you getting one hellva rod that is like i said worth way more than its price. ive fished my fair share of glx.nrx rods and champion extremes, even st croix legend extremes, and this rod is right on par with them. rods im talking abot is 7'1 & 7'3MH and 7'6H
From: Scott: TX
Comments: Thanks guys for the reviews really needed it. Guess this bad boy is coming home....
Comments: to peter, yes, these rods are incredible, get a 7,6 heavy and you can drag 15lbs of slop like its nothing. seriously best rods ive used the Mh are pretty stiff with excellent tip, so for slop a h would be perfect! if your not sure, try a omen rod, there pretty damn good to but only a $100
From: David: WA
Comments: Worth every bit of $250.00! These are the best flipping sticks I have ever held. Super sensative. They are just awesome. I just purchased 2 more. I have to sell rods now so I can buy more of these.
From: Traybird: Bridge City, TX
Comments: Was just wondering is the rod really worth $250. I do alot of slop fishing and was wonderin if the rod will hold up to the nasty covers.
Comments: to Max in chicago, well i have the omen rod($100) and it is more sensitive and and lighter than my g loomis gl2 rod, which cost $200, and these envy rods have 40 ton graphite so thats even lighter and more sensitive than the 30 ton of the omen rods, i just ordered the 7'3" envy casting rod, MH so once i get out and use it, ill post a review, but for now i hope this helps. BTW, the omen rods are VERY nice for there price, very well balanced and awesome looks and feel in your hands, i highly recommend 13 fishing.
From: David: Enumclaw, WA
Comments: How sensitive are these rods any comparisons IMX- DOBYNS - CHAMPION ST-CROIX LEGEND,ECT.
From: Max: Chicago, IL
Comments: how sensitive & light are these rods
From: Max: Chicago, IL
Comments: The new Envy lineups are very impressive rods. . . Just a bit lighter and with the 40ton graphite, a bit stiffer overall profile. The recoil guides are awesome and the reel seat is super comfortable to flip with all day. . . The Medium Heavys are stiff and the Heavys are for the nasty stuff or the big girls! Anything with trebles or moving action, go with the medium actions. . . Give 13 a try!!!
