Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Morrum ZX Casting Reels

Not just any reel has what it takes to bear the Morrum name. Introducing the new top-of-the-line Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Morrum ZX Casting Reel. No detail was overlooked in the creation of the Morrum ZX - from its precisely machined aluminum frame and sideplates to its externally adjustable IVCB-IV (Infinite Variable Centrifugal Brake) System. The advanced Infini II Spool also helps increase casting distance, and the 11 stainless steel HPCR bearing system (10+1) keeps functioning impossibly smooth - with the added corrosion resistance to make sure it stays that way. The Carbon Matrix Drag System delivers consistent drag pressure across the entire drag range, and thanks to its unique carbon construction you can set it at higher settings than most drags. Manufactured and engineered in Sweden, the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Morrum ZX Casting Reels is the ultimate round reel.

Customer Reviews

Comments: I bought the morrum zx 3601lj IVCB, before the American market reel was available. I think it's a good reel. That said, I think it's a bunch of hype too. I have a Morrum sx3601 IVCB,( Which by the way, weighs less) that cost 150 dollars less, and it's all aluminum, and has been flawless. The zx, right out of the box came with the salt water-ish power handle. Obviously too heavy for the design.  Just from people playing with it in the store the gears are worn enough that they are loud. (people played with this shelf model, but not enough to nick, or scratch the finish. So it wasn't beat on.) So I decide to open it to give it a check. The inner set plates are partially made of plastic. (new on the zx) So here's a reel that was a mark of excellence, revised with plastic parts, and is already showing signs of wear, with zero hours on the water. So I called Abu Garcia parts dept, to see about freshening it up with some new gears, and their product manager says, " The parts supplier is so unreliable that replacement parts maybe available in a month, or a year." " Who knows." I love my Abu's, but @ 4 to 5 hundred dollars, this model is poorly designed, and obviously miss leading in representation.
