Comments: It's amazing round baitcasting reel! Very very smooth and the drag is fantastic (3 carbon dishes to delivery about 16lb drag). High quality materials, plastics near to zero, Swedish engineering. The reel is Made in Sweden. I love my Record 61. I replace an original bushing of spool axis by a ball bearing. Now my Record has 6+1 bearings.

Comments: When I first purchased i was sure it would be as slick as my 5000 and 5500. It was noisier than the others but began to smooth up with use. I have the 50 and didn't know they made a 40. Now I'll ave to find some more money to spend.

Comments: I purchased this reel on Friday May 27th. It arrived at my job via UPS today May 31st. I attached it to a 7'0" Shimano Convergence Medium, fast. 30 min after I got to the lake I caught a 3.6 lb Largemouth. Out of the box I forgot to set the drag, The reel performed great. Pulled big boy right to the bank. I will let you know how well it works. Some my say it was luck. I say it was the Ambassaduer Record 5:3:1

Phenomenal reel, performs like a Premier with that round reel feel!!! Have never handled a Calcutta but believe I know what one feels like now at a fraction of the cost. Casts a fricken mile plus, man! Swedish perfection at a superb, scary low price (I thought it was a mistake!!!). Don't walk, run to the phone and buy one of these, you'll be glad you did. If you doubt me check out the Tackletour review. Very well done review.
