Comments: Not a big fan of this rod. It has the most uncomfortable grip ever. My hand hurts after an hour of fishing. It will literally give you blisters if you fish it long enough.

From: Mike: Homer Glen, IL 8/14/22

Comments: Really disappointed in this rod and I wanted to like it. As soon as I got it the ceramic insert in the rod tip fell out. I should have returned it then but I kept it. This morning while throwing a 3/8 oz lure the top 6 inches of the rod just snapped right off.

Comments: Great rod, but the guides and grip are not up the the standard of the stick itself. They should have put a good cork handle on these.

Comments: I purchased the 6 1/2 foot medium heavy Ike Finesse Spinning Rod and was super stoked about it. After only 4 or 5 fishing trips, I noticed my line was getting frayed and I couldn't figure out why. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that one of the guides was causing the damage to my line. In addition, the largest guide near the bottom was having issues and the black coating was pealing off only to reveal shiny metal underneath. So disappointing! I wish they would have used quality line guides on such a beautiful and comfortable rod.

Comments: I purchased the 7'2" Medium in 2018 and I can sincerely say I love it. However, I just had to return it due to my line guides cracking and falling apart. I'm disappointed in the rod for that and only that. Itâs been such an amazing rod and is my favorite spinning rod to date. Another great thing about it is the 3 year warranty instead of a 1 year. Hopefully when I get my new one I wonât have the same issue with my line guides. I will update this review as far as that goes. I can recommend this rod because it has been so good to me. With a 3 year warranty I'll just replace it again if the guides fail

Comments: Im incredibly disappointed in this rod. I've been an Abu guy for years. I have 8 Abu rods and 13 Abu reels, from the lower to middle-high price range. I bought a 6'10" medium-light version from this series about 5 years ago, and it's still my favorite rod. About 6 months ago, I ordered a 7'2" medium version, and upon recieving it, immediately noticed that it was not the same quality rod as the previous one. The guides were plastic. The handle material was squishy. The tip insert broke out about a week after I got it, followed by the third one down about 3 weeks later. Two days ago, i caught a small spotted bass  (1-1.5 pounds) and when i lifted it to flip it in the boat, the tip just snapped at around the third guide down. I've flipped dozens of bass that size and bigger with the medium light version, and never had an issue. I take care of my rods. I don't leave them in the sun longer than necessary. I keep them inside in a wall mounted rod rack. When I go out, they go straight in the boat, or I let down my back seat, and put them thru the trunk, across the back seat, with tips in the front if im bank fishing. I don't feel at all that this rod is worth what is asked. Don't think I've ever been quite so disappointed in a rod in my life. Could've been a fluke I suppose, but I'll not be buying another from this series.

Comments: Absolutely amazing rod for anything finesse. Ned rigs, shaky heads, drop shots, whacky rigs, you name it. I bought the 6'10 ML specifically for ned rigs/drop shots and I'll have to say, probably my favorite spinning rod I own. Sensitive, plenty of backbone for a ML and a dream to fish with. Would definitely recommend!

From: Nick: Dallas, TX 2/20/20

Comments: I purchased the 7'2 spinning rod back in 2017 hands down my favorite rod super sensitive. The rod broke close to the tip while casting but I'm pretty sure I have stepped on it at sometime on my boat deck. Do not hesitate to purchase I've owned probably 20+ rods in my day and have yet had one feel this good. I mainly use this rod for ned rigs and shakey heads no probably at all at setting a hook with it and you can feel the bite no problem. I purchased a duckett spinning to replace it and it just didn't deliver what I got from this rod. I waiting till I could get it on a sale again and I cannot wait for it to come in tomorrow!

Comments: Awesome action, I used the ML for ned rigs, finesse swimbaits, neko rig etc. Mad sensitive, had it for about a season. Was dragging my kayak from the car to the ramp and the tip caught on a tree and it snapped at the butt section. My fault, but if you saw this twig it caught on you'd be surprised it broke. Charge it to the game.

Comments: Purchased the 74 med light power mod fast taper spinning rod and it is absolutely AMAZING with my small crankbaits, ie all my 1.5 squarebills and spro little john crankbaits.   Casts these lures A MILE.   Handles large fish no problem (have landed several 3.5 and 4.0 bass).   And an absolute perfect rod for fishing spybaits.   Mod Fast action allows you keep those fish pinned with those tiny trebles on spybaits.   I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this rod to anyone looking to fish small cranks and/or spybaits.

Comments: Hands down my favorite spinning and casting rods I have owned and I have tried almost all of them.  Super sensitive, great balance in my hand.  Worth every penny
