So how did Abu Garcia make a dramatic difference in their already popular Revo series. One word, lighter, 27% lighter than the Revo STX. The Revo Premier weighs in at 6.35oz making it the lightest aluminum baitcaster on the market.

Abu Garcia also took advantage of HPCR bearing technology making this reel not only light but extremely smooth and corrosion resistant. The stainless steel bearings provide smooth casting and retrieving performance with extreme durability. The already famous Carbon Matrix Drag System on the Premier delivers astonishing drag power, combine this with the aircraft grade aluminum spool and Infinity II spool technology and the Revo Premier will get your cast to the fish and the fish back to you.

The Abu Garcia Revo Premier represents the next phase in Revo technology.

Comments:Just got one of these reels the other day and it cast like a dream. Although I will admit the spool likes to go crazy sometimes, but overall you cant beat this reel. I would recommend it to anyone either a novice angler or one who has a little more experience.

From:Mike: Talbott, TN

Comments:I have two of these and both have had to be sent in for drive train issues and the drive train nuts not holding. The reel will not cast into the wind as well as Daiwa's and unless on a very good rod it doesn't cast light weights well. I guide in Texas and use Abu G. reels and like them but this reel is a bomber and they redid it quickly with a new version this year.

From:Bill: Nacogdoches, TX

Comments:I bought 4 of these when I seen them for $165.00, 2 for me and 2 for my dad.. and I have got to say these reels are very impressive! the breaking system on them is really good IMHO, cast very much like a Daiwa with M/F Z... the breaking profile on this is slightly higher then Mag Force V and doesn’t handle really light baits as well as my Daiwas do but fairly well and this reel casts a mile. Its casting distance is on par with the Zillions and maybe even a little better, it does handle light baits about like a Zillion and that’s fair but not great.

From:Samuel: Jacksonville, FL

Comments:The reel is very light and smooth. However, I was very disappointed in the magnetic braking system. I will never buy another reel that doesn't have centrifugal brakes.

From:Mark: Los Angeles, CA

Comments:This reel is outstanding!!! I've fished this reel in Kentucky Lake, Lake Powell, Lake Guntersville, Sam Rayburn, Lake Oneida, Clear Lake, Wheeler Lake, and Lake Okeechobee and it can handle all of those monster bass in those lakes. If you are a touring angler and fish different lakes all over the country and fish a verity of baits, than this is the reel for you. I am a power fisherman and this reel can handle it all. I'm certainly bringing these reels with me when I fish Lake El Salto in Mexico. I highly recommend it!!! If you have the $, Buy It People!

From:Alan: Talbott, TN

Comments:Extremely smooth casting, with this reel backlashes are things of the past. This reel is paired up with a Loomis Bronzeback crankbait rod (814) and the combo is superlight, if most of your fishing trips turn into precision casting different crankbaits into tight spots, then this entire combo is for you.

From:Travis: Brooklyn, NY

Comments:Comments:I am getting this reel as a Christmas present, but was allowed to use it this past weekend on Wheeler Lake. Paired it with a Denali crankbait rod and it is super light. The drag does not seem as strong as the STX, but it is just as smooth and cast just as well. For the price you all are selling them for, it is a great deal!

From:TM: Centre, AL

Comments:Take a close look at the exposed retaining screw on the handle. See that flat head? The outer edge of the screw is extremely sharp and if you are not careful, that thing will strip the skin right off of the knuckle of your index finger when you set the hook (I may be a bit enthusiastic when doing so.) Be prepared to keep a butter-fly band-aid handy. If you don't put it on before you fish, you will soon thereafter. This is the best reel Abu has put out in years but it can be painful! Also, my pads on the cranking handle routinely came off when I set the hook until I super-glued them on. Can't tell you how many fish I missed because of that issue. Still, it casts great and reeling is very smooth.

From:R.D. Madison, AL

Comments:Very similar reel compared to my Shimano 50Mg. Very lightweight, however a very wimpy drag.

From:Paul: Chula Vista, CA

Comments:This reel is the best on the market no doubt. I like the Skeet Reese edition a little better but it still is a perfect reel!!! I give a ten out of five!

From:Alan: Talbott, TN

Comments:I have 4 Revo's 3-STX's (2) 6.4:1 and (1) 7.1:1 and 1-SX 7.1:1 I like these reels so much I'm buying the Premier sight unseen!! I know it's going to be as good as or better than the STX or SX and it only weighs 6.35 ounces!! I can't miss out on this steal of a deal - $169.00 plus Free Shipping !! Thats crazy cheap dude!!

From:Jeff: Newmnan, GA

Comments:I love this reel and the guys in my club or so jealous. I didnt tell them where I got it from or that it was 30% off. Thanks guys! This reel has tackle my fishing to a new level.

From:Debeaux: Myrtle Beach, SC

Comments:I'm not sure how good this reel would be for flipping purposes b/c the drag is a little weak...def. not 24lbs. i think Brian is right, it's probably somewhere around 12lbs, maybe a little more. However it's a great reel for throwing light baits and cranking, the casting abilities are amazing, incredibly smooth and light. The combination of the rebate and the reduced price...it really is a steal. Thanks TW!

From:Aaron: Arcade, NY

Comments:This is a great reel. It's very smooth, very light and has excellent drag.

From:Chad: Long Island, NY

Comments:Awesome reel! Though the drag isn't as good as the STX, it's super light and able to cast a mile.

From:Gerard: New York, NY

Comments:Actually the drag is 12lbs, but it is a great reel!

From:Brian: CA

Comments:No other reel like it, it is the best reel ive ever fished with. Better than the over rated Shimanos. The premier is super light...weighting only 6.3 ounces, yet still has a max drag of 24lbs. Caught a 5 pounder this weekend brought in no problem. If u want the best reel, buy the Revo Premier.

From:Jake: Seguin, TX

Comments:Just an amazing reel. I love this reel, it casts so smooth. Best reel ever made by Abu Garcia!
