Newly redesigned and upgraded, the Abu Garcia Revo S Spinning Reel features a cutting-edge design, new styling, and advanced performance. Its lighweight polymeric body and rotor help reduced weight while maintaining strength, and its one-piece gearbox design ensures precise gear alignment and smoother operation. Its X-Craftic alloy frame also provides increased corrosion-resistance combined with the it’s stainless steel main shaft and components, and its Duragear brass gears furnish extended gear life. A machined aluminum braid-ready spool even allows braid to be tied directly to the spool without any slip. Abu Garcia’s Slow Oscillation technology also provides even line lay with all types of line, while an Everlast bail system provides improved durability. Once you have a fish on, the Carbon Matrix hybrid drag system kicks in and dishes out super smooth, reliable drag performance. Offering premium performance, the Abu Garcia Revo S Spinning Reel is the entry level reel in the Revo spinning reel lineup - but there’s nothing entry level about it.

-Flat EVA knob provides greater comfort and durability

Customer Reviews

Comments: Best spinning reel for the price. Has reeled in 5+ pound largies, bluegills & many pike over 30+ inches. Seems to reel a little stiff now & then but im sure it just needs to be lubed. I suggest this reel to anybody!

Comments: Very nice reel for $130. I have it with 10 braid & it is awesome. I use it for everything when going to different spots when I cant carry my poles. All around awesome reel

Comments: These are the best ($130 dollar range) spinning reels money can buy. Tried this out on Wheeler Lake the beginning of last year and the drag performed extremely well. The low profile, low weight really helps in tournaments for stanima. These perform especially well drop-shotting or throwing a shakeyhead. On the reel noise complaint, I haven't had any issues with reel noise even after some abuse on many 6 pound Neely-Henry bass. Overall great reel fished with 6-8 pound line on a light-medium action vendetta or veritas.

Comments: I bought 2 of these spring 2013. I've used probably total of 10 days and both are now experiencing an intermittent noise while retrieving with slow or fast turn. I've taken spool off and lubricated both and noise still remains.  I don't see any broken/worn/misaligned parts.   I love the reels until this started happening. It seems both started doing this when i have line pulled off with drag

Comments: I bought the S30 to put on a 7'M Amp rod..overkill I know, but the light weight  rod with the lightweight 30 series reel performed well fishing current below a dam for walleye. spooled it with 30lb power pro, with that rod, reel, line combination felt every rock and surface change. It casted a mile, I caught several fish, mostly small walleyes with 2 over 15 (keepers), drag felt good, reel felt solid.

Comments: I got the reel in the 20 series this x-mas paired it with the vendetta rod.  The set up looks awesome.  I took it out for the first time this past weekend (1-25-13) trout fishing on the White River.  The reel performed OK, but there was very noticeable tension somewhere that made the reel click.  It was not every handle turn, but about every 3 turns, the reel would "click."  I fought a few 2-4 pound rainbows/browns with it, and it did very well.  I just can't get over what is causing the click.  Maybe it was the 40 degree weather that we had...I don't know. Take the review for what it is.  I would hesitate buying it again, but if you want an all WHITE setup, your options are a little limited. Good reel, good price, good drag...Mine just clicks
