Comments: I purchased this reel almost a year ago, and have been super impressed with it. I have used it for everything from drop shotting to pulling in 15lb Redfish in the gulf. I primarily use this reel as a dropshot reel, and have been totally satisfied with the reel. No problems that I have come across, and I plan to purchase another one. At first I didn't think I would like such a large handle, but it has proven useful over the course of the year when working big fish.

Comments: My SX40 is Blue (bought spring '09) so I don't know if they've changed any other aspects of the reel but let me tell you I've not found another spinning reel that I've loved as much as my SX40 in the 50 years that I've been fishing ! It's landed many Walleye and BIG Smallmouth (6+ pounds) this year. I bought mine from the big name Bass tackle store and paid $40 more than Tackle Warehouse has it listed at. I will be ordering one from here in the near future.
