The Abu Garcia Verdict Spinning Rods feature Abu Garcia’s exclusive Extending Handle System - allowing you to set your handle to a desired length for any technique. Shorten the handle for finesse applications, extend it when you need some extra casting distance, or set it anywhere in between for any technique.
Premium, lightweight 36-ton graphite blanks offer the highest grade of graphite available in an Abu Garcia rod, delivering incredible lightweight sensitivity and strength. The stiffer fibers more efficiently transmit vibrations to your hand, improving sensitivity so you can feel more strikes. Titanium Alloy Guides with SiC inserts also help reduce weight, while facilitating longer casts and optimum rod curvature. High density EVA grips furnish all day ergonomic comfort. Delivering unprecedented versatility and performance, the Abu Garcia Verdict Spinning Rods are always perfectly balanced thanks to the exclusive Extending Handle System.

Comments: Used this rod for 2 weeks for shaky head fishing. Set the hook on small bass and broke the rod. Had to hand line the fish. I like Abu Garcia but go with another rod.
From: Reggie: Franklin, NC
Comments: Very sensitive rod,but so fragile .Mine didn't last very long, first the tip then the handle started to rattle and a few weeks later it didn't screw in anymore. not worth the hassle.
From: Manuel: Gto, Mexico
Comments: Save your money. Had two both handle issues and one came with a broken tip. For about the same money go with the Shimano Crucial series, IMO.

Comments: got the 7 ft medium 2 years ago, and so far the only problem ive had it i shattered the tip insert, but it was my own fault... its really sensitive and has great backbone, the handle is a bit of a gimmick though, its more hassle than its worth... overall great rod. Abu Garcia for life!

Comments: I don't mean to call anyone out, but comparing this Verdict Rod to anything ending in "Loomis" is a travesty. I did read some good reviews for this rod though, and figured I would pick one up to try. I also own a G.Loomis GL2 Drop Shot Spinning Rod, which is lower tier Loomis in all honesty. While I used slightly different techniques for the two rods, Verdict for Shakey and Loomis for Drop Shot, the Verdict doesn't come anywhere NEAR the Loomis. Granted, it's $100.00 cheaper than a GL2, but they shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. Honestly, I would compare this to a flashier Veritas Rod. Just $30.00 more expensive.

Comments: I have a new verdict rod and it is a 7ft med. action spinning rod.It is used by me to fish senkos and crankbaits.I love it .It is one of the most sensitive rods I have and I have 3 dozen rigs. This past month I have caught 4 bass over 6-7 lbs using 8lb line and it handles them like they are 2pounders.I let my buddy use it and he put down his loomis and asked if I would trade even. I already have one and this rod is more sensitive. I am gettin another one.they are great with unreal backbone.

Comments: I got the 6.6ft Medium i love it. If you own 1 you know what i mean!
From: Sonny: East Wareham, MA
Comments: Got 2 (7'3'' MH Casting, and 7'6" H Casting from a local CDN retailer) the paint came off one when I peeled off the label, and the other has nicks / cuts to the "durable foam" handle. Ordered one from BPS and it arrived with a damaged guide, a damaged tip, and the handle wouldn't retract.
From: Mike: Toronto, Ontario
Comments: Bought the 7' medium and use it for shaky heads, paired with stx 20 soron it's a nice light combination. The sensitivity is average, I expected more for 36 ton graphite, titanium alloy guides with SIC inserts. I have the Powell 703, and feel that's a better purchase for around the same price. I'd give this a 6 or 7 out of a 10.
