The Abu Garcia Villain Spinning Rods deliver a jaw dropping balanced and lightweight feel. Equipped with ultra sensitive 40-ton graphite blanks - the highest grade of graphite in an Abu Garcia rod - the series also features LRC Low Resin Content graphite technology, which allows less resin to be used in the construction of the rod blanks. This in turn creates rods that are significantly lighter in hand and more sensitive than traditional graphite rods - without sacrificing strength. Titanium alloy guides with Ti inserts help reduce weight further and provide excellent durability, and C6 Total Exposure reel seats put you in complete contact with the rod blank and delivers maximum sensitivity transfer. Also featuring comfortable, high density EVA split grips with no fore grip, the Abu Garcia Villain Spinning Rods offer next generation, tournament caliber performance.

Customer Reviews

Comments: 7'1" Med/Fast- I paired this rod with a Premier 30, and I wish I would have gone with maybe a different action, like a MdLt.  This rod is really stiff for what I needed it for, but has great sensitivity. Depending on what you will be doing, I would get a action softer than what you really need. Other than that I do love this rod and I would recommend it to someone else.

Comments: The 6'9" ML is an AWESOME shakey head rod! The rod is very light and extremely sensitive.

Comments: this rod is extremely light, but as stiff as a pool cue and very uncomfortable to use-- although it is one of the most sensative rods i have ever owned under the $200 price range

From: Nick: Canada

Comments: The medium heavy model has to be the stiffest rod I've ever owned, you absolutely need a heavy lure to launch a good distance. I paired mine with the STX40 and it performs extremely well when you catch a massive fighter, but just getting the lure out there is a job and a half.  You can fish with confidence when you know you have a big one on the line.
