Proudly made in the USA, the Team All Star Spinning Rods are designed by All Star's elite touring pro staff for a wide range of specific techniques. Featuring ultra light IM-10 graphite blank construction, the Team All Star Spinning Rods deliver unequaled power and cast control, while providing the sensitivity necessary to feel the slightest tick at the end of your line. The expertly spaced Fuji Aluminum Oxide Guides are both lightweight and durable, accentuating the rod's sensitivity and power.

Additionally, the lightweight graphite reel seat with cushioned stainless steel hoods firmly secures your favorite spinning reel in place and helps limit the rod's weight. Each Team All Star Spinning Rod also features premium grade cork grips for maximum comfort and a stainless steel hook keeper for added convenience. Perfect for the novice or serious angler alike, the Team All Star Spinning Rods provide high modulus graphite construction with premium components - all for a price tag under $100.

Comments: I recently purchased two TAS-785S.  They're decent rods; relatively light weight and sensitive.  But know this, the "Team" line is now being produced in China, not the USA.  I recently contacted All Star directly and verified this.  There still might be some rods left in inventory made in the USA but you may want to verify it (if it's important to you).  Also, All Star indicated that they were not using IM-10 graphite either, but a blend of graphite materials instead, comparable to IM-8 (if I recall correctly).

Comments: Very solid, reliable, and sensitive rods.  Durable too, as I routinely accidentally attempt to break all my rods.  I've only managed to break one All Star in the many years I've used them, and never one of the Team All Stars.  Very reasonable price too.  If someone was looking to line up an arsenal of great rods from the same manufacturer without breaking the bank, these are the way to go.  Especially if you can find one that still says "Made in Houston"!

Comments:Purchased the 6'4" Light - received it yesterday, fished it today - very light/sensitive w/Quantum T-10 reel/6# Silver Thread Fluoro -- caught several smallies with no problem - nice rod.
