Overview
The BOSS Gary Klein Heavy Cover Jig Head offers several features that make it one of the most versatile jigs on the market today. The Gary Klein Heavy Cover Jig Head offers a recessed tie, allowing the jig to be fished in heavy cover while limiting hang ups. The jig's head design creates an upright rotation upon hook set, this leads to a high percentage of hook ups in the upper part of the fish's mouth. The Gary Klein Heavy Cover Jig Head is backed with a beefy custom run, 5/0 round bend Mustad hook, this hook is only available in the BOSS Jig line. A top grade weedguard is secured, remember not all jig weedguards are the same. All BOSS jig heads feature an unmatched custom 5 step paint job.

Comments: I have been reluctant to use the more rounded-fronted jigs because the more arrow-pointed jig heads might penetrate and shed weeds better. A lake I fish isn't super weedy, so I tried them. I fished them into dead brush, stumps and mostly pad mats. I also made jigs using Santone Rattling jigheads, which I like. The Klein Heavy Covers didn't grab the pad stems as much as the Santones did, however, they did a few times. I didn't lose as many bass on the Kleiin jig head as I did the Santone, but that very well may be accidental. They are great jig heads. The fiber weed guard is good. The angle is good. Either is very good. I bought 2 more packs of black Heavy Cover 1/2 oz's.

Comments: I fish some mucky bottom places and this head in a lighter weight comes through nicely. I didn't think it would, but it does. I know the fish see a ton of wacky and texas rigs, but no jigs in that muck.

Comments: These heads are the deal. Just got back from my El Salto trip for 4 days of fishing and flipping those insane trees. I bought 4 packs of the 3/4oz heads to save some money on jigs, and I came back with 10 jigs, meaning I only lost 6 the ENTIRE trip. They really are meant for heavy cover and the hooks are phenomenal. Very strong and very sharp, never lost a big fish due to not being hooked well. I will be ordering every other size and slowly replacing all my flipping jigs to these. Fishing bluff walls and giant trees was outstanding with this jig. Nothing but positive things to say about these heads. Match up with some quality skirts and you have a great setup.

Comments: I use the 1/4 oz at El Salto for fishing wacky rigged senkos in trees and brush. The stout hook is ideal for using heavy line and rods and winching big fish out of the trees. Odd application I know but these jigs work well if you need to sink a stick bait fast and deep. A lighter version would be nice as well!

Comments: My experience with the weedless quality of these Klein jig heads was not at all favorable in cover that was not really that heavy --- not a thick brush pile, just a few logs from an old laydown. As soon as the head rolled over the log, the guard collapsed and I was stuck. Hook and paint are exceptional, though. Dragged it over several rocks along a shoreline and didn't even scratch the clearcoat. Would not buy again for use around wood. Sorry Gary!

Comments: These jigs are great. Stout & sharp hooks. The weedgaurd on these things is very rigid, which is actually nice because you can trim off fibers to suit your preference. It's nice that I can add my own skirt not only to customize it but to save money. I'll take a 1.50 jig head and a 50 cent skirt over a 5 dollar brand name jig any day. The recessed line tie is also very nice & protects the knot well when fishing heavy cover.

Comments: Best jig head I've tried to date! They are a compact design and the quality is second to none. After a long weekend of fishing steep rocking back on Kentucky Lake, the jig head's paint is wore but not chipped at all. Also, I'm continually impressed at how weedless these jig heads are, they handle both wood and rock remarkably well. Having said that, the weed guards on these jigs are stout and as a result, you may want to remove a couple strands but I have always fished them "as is" and I haven't had any hook-up issues whatsoever. If you make your own jigs, I'd give these jig heads a try.

Comments: These jig heads are the ticket! I use the 3/4oz for punching mats and the 1/2oz for timber and grass edges. The jig slides through any cover imaginable! Great weedguard! Great design! No way you can bend these hooks out! Its such a great buy with the BOSS skirts and I'm ordering more!

Comments: Awesome jigs, now my go to for flippin n pitching. I fish reeds/cat tails and trees a lot and these will come right through anything. As with all jigs I split the weedguards and have no trouble keeping fish buttoned with these.

Comments: got the in 1/2 oz light green pumpkin, and they are no joke for heavy cover! they have the heaviest weedguard ive ever had on a jighead. other than that the head shape comes through heavy cover very well but i had to trim the weedguard down a bit because it was just too tough for what i was trying to do with my jigs like lighter pitching and flipping.
