Comments: The model they made before lasted me about 15 years. I purchased this one thinking it would perform well too. Boy was I wrong. I mailed mine back to Berkley and told them how poor of a product it was. They mailed me another one a few months later. It's just a cheap worthless item. I am going to mail it back to them and ask that they do not send another one. It wastes my time and gets my blood pressure up.

Comments: I have three on back order for gifts to buds. I have the twenty year old version. Sharpened hundreds hooks and stripped thousands yards line. Uses two C batteries. Powerful. Isn't it amazing how companies cheapen products over the years. Well, guess I'll take my chances and give them out. Berkley should fix this. It speaks and gives a poor impression for 4-5 years. Probably too small a part of their sales to give a darn. Sorry I ordered them now. Guess I'll roll the dice, too late now.

Comments: This is a great tool for any angler. Makes stripping line easier. Cannot go wrong buying this!

Comments: Don't do it. Works, but not great quality. One day there will be a heavy duty line stripping tool.

From: Unknown 3/19/19

Comments: The quality of this product is seriously poor. Found one on eBay for 2.99 and that was too much... Hook sharpener is the only reason I've kept this POS, and then only use it if nothing else is available..

From: Unknown 1/20/19

Comments: Mine has not gone demonic and started workin on it's own like other people have said. Maybe I am lucky? I leave my batteries in it when not in use and have not had issues. I use mine at least 10-20 times per month and have owned it for eight mos now. Roll the dice and order one.

From: Jay6 8/15/17

Comments: I'm keeping mine but I couldn't recommend anyone buy this tool. It is cheaply made. I have to take the batteries out after each use or it will start running on it's own. Terrible product.

From: Keith: Oxford, AZ 4/19/17

Comments: Literally just threw mine in the trash. It burns through 2 AA batteries in about the time you strip three reels. The mechanism that grabs the line slips often too. Maybe that problem would be better with heavier line, but the battery issue remains.

From: Zack: WV 4/6/16

Comments: Pretty neat thing to strip line quickly and you can do it over a trash can for a no mess clean up
