Overview

The Berkley 7" Power Worms are proven performers that can be fished throughout the year in a variety of presentations. The Berkley Power Worm's classic ribbontail design has a natural swimming action when twitched or on the fall. The soft texture, enhanced by the Berkley scent and flavor formula, is irresistible to fish. The Berkley Power Worm is great for flipping and pitching or around deep cover when fish are interested in a larger bait.

Comments: I have caught more bass on this worm than any other bait. T-rigged ... pumpkin or junebug on tidal rivers in MD.

From: Michael: MD 4/27/23

Comments: Maybe the greatest worm ever for catching bass! A classic bait that has stood the test of time. Like others below me here was a major fish catcher when it came out in the 80s all the way till now. As 1 gentleman put it if you're not catching largemouth on these then there is none around where you're fishing!! No wrong way to fish it any time of year and a big color selection to choose from!!!!

From: Richard: Rochester 3/27/23

Comments: The berkley 7 inch power worm has to be the most used bass bait ever. I wish there were more colors available in 100 packs. Pumpkinseed, tequila sunrise, blue fleck and black are pretty basic colors that should be available in large packs, my wishful thinking. Anything from 2/0 to 4/0 offset wide gap hooks work nicely. I prefer owner cutting point xx hooks for these..... From weightless to texas rig to carolina rig they absolutely catch fish.... Been using since the 80s and will do so until they are no longer available.

From: Chris: Kentucky 11/29/22

Comments: These are solid ribbon tails. I have fished them a few different ways but I have had the most luck T-rigging them with a pegged 3/13 oz tungsten weight and offset work hook. I skip them up under/into cover let it sink for 5 to 15 count, twitch, twitch, slow drag out, then retrieve and repeat. Even when the bite is stubborn I have managed to pull a few out on this worm.

From: Ed Hanson: San Diego, CA 3/27/22

Comments: I'm not a huge fan of powerbait, but this is one of the few baits I like. Very durable bait and it just catched fish. I mainly use this for a jig worm and absolutely love it. Has a great action and the fish love it. I have noticed my average fish with this bait seems to be a little bigger. Can't argue with the results from this bait.

From: Dylan: Minnesota 2/23/22

Comments: Still works great maybe better now that everyone is throwing creatures and craws. If you don't think scent works try shaking a fish off pre-fishing.

From: Jethro: Maryland 3/8/21

Comments: This has become my all-time favorite plastic worm. I use them Texas rigged with a small bullet weight on lakes from up shallow around docks all the way to deep water. I also found them to be great for walleyes when fished on a jig. Sometimes these outfish live bait for walleye! Cannot recommend it enough

From: Matt: Minnesota 11/5/20

Comments: i haven't used em yet but i do wanna point out that if you are easily put off by strong smells, this bait is NOT for you, whew the other reviews mentioned it and i underestimated their review. strong smells don't bother me much so its not enough for me to put them down but these do reek somethin awful.

From: BJ: NY 7/10/20

Comments: If you could only have one worm for your angling life this is the one .. fished these since the 1980s and they never fail - fish won't let go .. black / blue fleck is the all time winner !

From: Dean : Vegas 4/22/20

Comments: I have been using these for years because they work. I like how durable they are compared to some other soft plastics. My personal favorite is black with blue flake.

From: Unknown: 2/28/20

Comments: Another time tested winner. People aren't throwing a simple CT worm any more, so slide on in, buck trends, and try this worm. If I can't get bit on this worm texas rigged, it's safe to say the worm bite isn't the deal, and I try something else. Saves me time. Fish hold on to this thing like no other.

From: Rufus: Texas 2/1/20

Comments: When this worm was first introduced in the 80's; it was the BOMB! The curly tail wasn't a new idea, but the built-in scent was an improvement from the spray-on attractants. I think the worm came in 3 or 4 colors back in the day; purple, pumpkin seed, motor oil, and maybe blue? Fish would not let go of this soft plastic. Almost every hook set was down in the throat of the fish. I quit using my Culprit and Gillraker worms; why bother. Once Berkley produced more color options, this product was a winner.

From: John: Nashville, TN 5/25/19

Comments: This is a really good bait for targeting big fish, and can still catch numbers. I've caught bass from 10 inches to 7lbs on this worm. Tequila sunrise is my go to color on a texas rig.

From: aaron: north carolina 4/27/19

Comments: Blue fleck FLAT OUT ROCKS.   I fished a tournament a few years ago with an 40+ year tournament angler and watched him HAMMER big bass on a hot summer day when i was doing squat.  He gave me a Blue Fleck texas rigged on a 3/16 worm weight and they made a believer out of me!!  He said Blue Fleck is the one  bait he'll take in any water, any depth, anytime of year.   If i don't have one tied on at all times i at least have em a bag of em on the front of the boat ready  to go!!

From: Jamie 4/10/19

Comments: Picked up a pack of black ones. Between texas rigging & shakey heading you just cant beat these things. They always seem to get bit. Havent found a place it doesnt work. Definitely my go to plastic worm now.

From: Jack J: Michigan 7/30/18

Comments: I have caught more fish on a 7" Power Worm than most people have lied about.  Always seems to get a bite.  I used to carry a few colors, but over time I have since stocked 100 packs of blue fleck. 1/4 oz sinker, 3/0 hook, and confidence is all you need.  I will not go fishing without one in the boat.

From: Matt: Broken Arrow 4/1/18

Comments: This is my go-to plastic worm.  I like black with blue flake and watermelon with red flake.  They catch fish and are a nice compromise between softness and durability.

From: Dan: Texas

Comments: my favorite worm in blue fleck and pumpkin chartreuse caught my biggest bass on them

From: Matthew: USA 7/21/15

Comments: my go too worm. I always have Tequila Sunrise in my tackle bag. I love too fish them weightless or Texas rig but fish them however you want. I use them so much I got a 100 pack.

From: Grant: Auburn, AL

Comments: I will always have these in my tackle bag. In June 2012 I caught a 7lb. and then a 9lb. Largemouth Bass within 5 minutes of each other from the same spot in a river. I have caught more fish on these than any other single lure I have. I rig them weedless on wide gap hooks with no weight, texas rigged (with weight), carolina rigged and even on a snelled hook with a snap swivel. You really cant go wrong. I find it they last for about 2-3 fish before they get shredded to bits. I may need to pull the trigger on a 100 pack one of these days. Lately Ive been experimenting with colors and anything with purple in it seems to get them going in my area.
