Customer Reviews

Comments: Performs well, but it looks white underwater. I'm sticking with Sniper for a few bucks more.

From: Adam: Long Island

Comments: love the line. best fluoro out there and lasts forever! wish they made 14#

From: Kevin: Chicago

Comments: Great line!! Great Value.  A lot these review are correct, it is stiff, so use it when you need stiff line. Note that there is no such thing as a One-Line-Fits-All fluorocarbon. You will be disappointing using this line if you are an inexperienced angler expecting a silky smooth, extra limp, long casting, exceptional handling line. If you want abrasion resistant, very low stretching and pure brute strength, this line is one of the best in that category.

From: Nate: WA

Comments: This line is really good. i have used 12 and 15lb test and they both work great. I dont get the bad reviews. As to the stiffness its not that stiff. Although it does get birds nest pretty easily on spinning rods but if you know what your doing you can counter it.

Smoothness: 9/10
castability: 9/10
strength: 8/10
price: 8/10

From: Bob: NJ

Comments: Ive been fishing the 17 & 20 lb, pitching. Love it. Take care of it, watch for Knicks, add more line conditioner, and you are good...it'll last you a while. It's strong stuff, yo.

From: meat wizzle: happy land

Comments: This line is awesome on a baitcaster for heavier applications.  Very little stretch and great sensitivity.  I use invisx on my spinning outfit because it handles better but it doesn't have the sensitivity of the Berkley 100% Flouro.

From: Greg: Mass

Comments: This line has its ups and it's downs to me I like it but for the fishing I do it's perfect I live in south Louisiana where I'm always flipping into the thickes trees, lay downs, and  thickest grass mats always throwing spinnerbaits through and around trees bouncing square bills of stumps and lay downs and I've went through every fluorocarbon the have and this is by far the strongest I have never poped of on a fish and I have had many fish rapped up around stumps and tangled in lay downs slid your looking for a string tht is strong and dosntnt get nicked up easy this is your line it does have a lot of memory though witch is the only down side but overall great line

Comments: I'm very disappointed in this line.

From: Jett: TX

Comments: I don't even know how berkley even sells line it all sucks this is there best and it sucks too! Too stiff, casts awful, lots of memory! Only upside is strong... Seagur all the way

From: Eric: TN

Comments: great line , a little stiff but good for Carolina rig and texas rig

From: Teddy: MS

Comments: one word to describe this line..  boss.

Comments: Great line, a lil stiff but overall great line give u more sensitivity.  Good balance with stiffness, castability, sensitivity.  Ive use maxima flouro and that was way toooo stiff.  To the comments on switching to invisx, what a joke.  That line has more stretch then my big game mono.  Never lost so many bass on spinnerbait with poor hookset in my life.  Some of the hook set were only 15 foot out with very hard set and still got off cause the hook didnt penetrate good enough. Ive fished for 35 years so not a total rookie ;) still got 800 plus yards of spool sitting around as useless line.

From: Sir Calvin, CA

Comments: This line is terrible.  I read all of the reviews on TW, and the ones that promote this line confuse me. This line is the stiffest flouro I have used, worst casting of the bunch.  I have used ALL brands of Flouro, including the best Sunline and Toray have to offer,  so no lack of experience here.  The guys that promote this stuff, haven't used any of the elite flourocarbons on the market.  Get some Sunline Sniper or PLine Halo for the same money--ten times better than this junk.  Berkley needs to go back to the drawing baord on this stuff.

From: Codi: Austin, TX

Comments: Comments:bought some 10 and it was decent, but had bad memory, so I went and bought another spool thinking i may have had a bad batch, nope same memory issue...go and get some p-line, if this was 10 bucks, then it would be worth it, heck go and get some vanish, its twice as good as this!

From: Kyle: WI

Comments: Love this line... just has a TON of memory i had 10 lb and it was fine but 15 is really bad.

Comments: I've tried both InvisX and XPS fluoro and this line is superior to both IMO.  It has less stretch than InvisX (especially in the lower lb tests) which gives you better sensitivity.  I've found that switching to a San Diego jam knot helps limit line breaks on hard hook sets. Great line!

From: Russ: Beaver Lake, NE

Comments: everyone complains about the diametr or stiffness. first of all this line is not that stiff, its more stiff than others but its not outrageous. second the 8lb test is as strong as 12lb mono, this stuff has great strength. Everyone who has problems its an orpperator error or you got a bad batch from WalMart.

From: Jake: Maple Shade, NJ

Comments: I have used quite a few brands of Flourocarbon, and I would not rate this as a premier line.  If you have used Seguar Invisx , Lake Fork FHP, or Sunline--this one doesn't come close.  The 15 lb seems to be twice the diameter of 15 lb Invisx, and not nearly as manageable.  Very stiff line, and the toughness//abrasion resistance is middle of the road at best.  I read alot of the reviews, and it surprised me to see the good reviews this line has gottne--not impressed here.  If you think this is good flouro, go get some Invisx for the same price--you will be much happier with the result.

From: Brad: TX

Comments: I use this in ALL of my tournaments and its fantastic. Just like any other line though, its a MUST to check after fishing heavy cover, rocks, stumps, after a fight with a larger fish or any fish for that matter etc.. to ensure that there is no major frays or the next hookset doesnt result in a break. This is fishing 101!! Great line!!

From: Matt: Ames, IA

Comments: Best line out there period.  Cannot break this stuff at all.  For people having problems with this I would say operator error.

From: Brett: IL

Comments: Amazin i fish tournaments and this is the only line i use when i am using any kind of worm, jig, carolina rigs, and half the time with jerkbaits and half the time with crank baits i landed a 12.3 lb bass on this stuff it can handel a long fight unlike other  lines.

From: Patrick: Greensboro, NC

Comments: By far the best flouro I have used, and I have used them all!! I use the 10, 15, and 20 and all of them have helped me earn my spots in the national championship bids.

From: Brandon: Flower Mound, TX

Comments: i fish alot of tournaments and depend greatly on my line not breaking. i will never spool another reel i own with this stuff. i change my line very regularly and this stuff has broken off on me multiple times and cost me a spot at the college national championship. going to p-line. talked to alot of people lately who have had the same problem with it.

From: Chancey: Georgia

From: Mike: Virginia, USA

Comments: you'd be hard pressed to find a stronger, more sensitive flourocarbon line than this.  I have also used InvisX, P-line, and Viscious

From: Ryan: So Cal

Comments: I use the 10 pound test on my crankin rod and haven't had any problems at all. It holds up to the abuse of 3-5 pound smallies and 8-13 pound walleyes as well. I love this line.

From: Doug: Show Low, AZ

Comments: I love this line! U cant beat it for the price, and it stands up great against abrasion!

Comments: Great line you can feel your crankbait at 18ft. and everything it touches but it doesn't last long.

From: Tommie: Roxboro, NC

Comments: Love the idea behind fluro but have had terrible results... Line was great for first two weeks then started breaking like crazy.. Cost me 4 local tourny wins...Tried multiple spools, same results.. JUNK!!!!

From: Ryan: Huntington, WV

Comments:I used the 4# for both my short and long line nymphing rigs on my 5 weight. Love this stuff.

From:Lopat: New Jersey, USA

Comments:Great line, I started using it this past summer and love it! I used to use Seagar but switched, and this line beats it in strength and feel by a long shot. I will not be trying to find any other lines in the future, it is going to be around a long time. Trust me, you wont regret buying it, good luck to you all!

From:Jeremy: Glenpool, OK

Comments:The worst line I have ever used!!
