Cashion 10XD Crankbait Casting Rod

Big, deep diving crankbaits, like the now famous Strike King 10XD, can pose some unique problems for your equipment. There is no question that they can dredge up huge kicker fish, as evidenced by tournament wins across the Country, but you need a rod that can cast them the long distances required to allow them to dive to their target depth. Once there, the rod has to have the proper action and taper to work them effectively, make solid hooksets in deep water, and not wear you out at the end of the day.

Cashion Rods took a scientific approach when they designed the new Cashion 10XD Crankbait Casting Rod. They incorporated cutting-edge design concepts and high-performance materials typically used in the production of race cars to create a lightweight powerful rod with the proper parabolic bend to get crankbaits like the 10XD deeper and keep big fish pinned to the treble hooks, all while eliciting the proper action to get fish to commit. A powerful uni-directional carbon fiber blank, a durable blank exposed Fuji Reel Seat and Fuji Microguides deliver technologically advanced performance, and the signature Cashion Carbon Fiber Handle functions as an extension of your fingertips, offering increased sensitivity and comfort over traditional cork grips. Built for tournament anglers looking for an edge over the competition, the Cashion 10XD Crankbait Casting Rod has what it takes to take you deeper.

Comments: I truly can't believe how much further I can cast my DD Cranks with this rod.  If you are throwing anything over 3/4 oz, you want to throw it with this rod.  So many rods have too much bend and when you think you are on the bottom, you're actually not.  This rod is super sensitive for having so much power.  Do yourself a favor, start matching the right rods for those off shore schooling bass.

Comments: Recently bought the rod and had a chance to throw it around just to check it out.  It's light for a serious duty rod and throws the Strike King 10XD with ease - not like lobbing a grenade. I threw it about fifteen times and had a buddy in another boat cast it about ten times and it feels like something you can throw a long time without any noticable fatigue - fishes comfortably. A key of course is to use a slow ratio reel with the big baits, something like a 5:5-1.  I'm anxious to use it when conditions are right for that kind of presentation. It's a well made, nicely detailed piece of equipment.
