Overview

It doesn’t get much better in bass fishing than getting on a great topwater or jerkbait bite. Big bass blowing up on the surface or slamming a jerkbait are what a lot of us hope for every time we hit the water.  But it could all be for naught or never even happen, if you don’t have the right rod in your hands.

Introducing the new Cashion Topwater and Jerkbait Casting Rods. The Topwater and Jerkbait Rods provide the perfect amount of tip and backbone. The faster tips allow you to cast jerkbaits and topwaters a mile with accuracy, while also providing just the right amount of flex to cushion the strike before the backbone turns on for monster hooksets.

Each Cashion Fishing Rod is handcrafted in Raleigh, NC one-rod-at-a-time using carbon fiber rod blanks, and only the finest components with the most technologically advanced materials. Extremely sensitive due to the uni-directional manufacturing process of the blanks, Fuji Micro Guides also provide incredibly accurate casting control, and unbelievable distance.  The smaller diameter of Fuji Micro Guides prevents wasted energy of the line slapping side-to-side, forcing your line to travel down the rod blank.

A Fuji blank exposed reel seat also provides you with direct access to the rod blank, and every rod is equipped with a carbon fiber split grip handle that also further transmits vibrations from the rod blank to our fingertips. Carbon fiber provides a stronger, lighter, more robust alternative to common foam or cork handles, while also furnishing a comfortable texture with plenty of grip.  Stay ahead of the curve with the Cashion Topwater and Jerkbait Casting Rods - scientifically designed to help you make the most of your fishing.

Comments: I use the 7' MH for poppers and walking baits and they are incredible. The perfect amount of tip allows for hookups on really long casts and absorbs all the head shakes and jumps and last-second surges that big bass put up against it. And it has enough backbone to stand up against and tire out the biggest ones. I have caught giant redfish and jack crevalle on this incredibly durable rod and was never outmatched.

This rod is outstanding, I'm very happy with the action for working jerkbaits & walk the dog type top waters. This rod has a very soft tip which I like for working these types of baits. I fish a lot of jerkbaits early and late season, over the past few years I've used Shimano crucial reaction, Abu Garcia Ikes delay, & St Croix Premier for this purpose. I like the Cashion rod better than all of these. You read mixed reviews about the grips which are a different feel, for me the grips are comfortable. This rod is tough, I'm usually not to hard on my gear but since I got this rod it's a had few accidents, a fall on a concrete dam, and got the line stuck on some gear and slammed it hard into the side of my car, seems no worse for the abuse and has caught fish after with no problems.

Comments: DO NOT LISTEN TO THE NAYSAYERS!!! Cashion rods are the greatest rods you can get for under $300. Period. I have purchased 3, and have had all of them for a year now. They are THE MOST sensitive, well-engineered, and fishable rods I have ever fished. Each technique specific rod is perfect for the stated technique, with tapers suited for many techniques. The 6'9 Topwater/Jerkbait rod I just ordered has a lot of tip, but enough backbone to drive hooks home on a long cast. These rods are insanely light, and once you fish with one, you won't want to fish anything else. On top of it all, they're made right here in the USA so there is really no comparison. They also have a great contingency program, so thats a plus for a tournament fisherman like myself. Please pull the trigger on one of these, you wont be disappointed.

Comments: This is such an awesome rod! I got this rod for Christmas in 7ft medium fast & have been using it successfully for plenty different fishing applications. I have used it for poppers, spooks, sammys, jerkbaits, finesse jigs, drop shots, ned rigs, squarebills, lipless cranks & weightless senkos/flukes. This rod is incredibly lightweight, sensitive, and versatile. I recommend this rod for anyone.

Comments: Cashion wont stand behind thier 200 dollar product, broke tip on a fish. Customer service said id have to spend another 70 bucks to send it back to them to "inspect" the broken rod. No thanks, i will just buy other name brands.

Comments: awesome Rod! Light weight and sensitive, great handle even if you're hands are wet or slimed up. Superb action with a great tip for long cast with a great backbone. Worth every penny!

From: Richard: Benton, AR 2/16/16

Comments: Very clean build, very comfortable & great action, light as well. Sensitivity overload, it's got the feel of a high end bottom contact stick and its a jerkbait rod! I'm really happy with this purchase and as time goes by I will replace some more rods with cashion. I have to sell off a few older ones so I have room for more. Anyway I have some pretty decent cranking rods  but I'm not seeing the sensitivity that cashion delivers.
