The Castaway HG 40 Titanium Casting Rod Series introduces Castaway's HG40 high intensity graphite blank technology, composed of 42 million modulus material. All Castaway HG40 Titanium rods also come complete with Fuji Exposed Reel Seats, as well as, Hardloy and Titanium Guides.

To ensure power and responsiveness with each hookset, every Castaway rod is splined so the blank is guaranteed not twist at the tip and spill any power. Before the rods leave Castaway's premises, each blank is put through a rigorous flex test inspection to ensure there are no visible defects. A triple coat of UV protected finish is also applied for preventative breakdown measures. In addition, Castaway coats behind every guide for a stronger hold and to thwart corrosion from getting behind the thread. Each Castaway HG40 Titanium Casting Rod is put through a final inspection following the build process, to ensure it is ready to fish right out of the gates.
