Customer Reviews Back to Top
Comments: I used to fish several CastAway rods back in the 90's. Then they kind of disappeared. I was given a 7'6" flipping stick to review, and I was pleasantly surprised. For a large rod, it is balanced well. It has a nice, X-fast tip, and it is light and sensitive. I'm glad to see a good product by one of my old favorites. I paired mine with a Lew's Super Duty for punching mats with creature baits and big jigs, and it does the trick. I think I'll try it for bronzeye popping frogs too. I think it is a solid purchase at this price point.

Comments: Picked one of these up at a local tackle store, and man.. These things are freaking light! I was surprised how balanced these things were and how light it was, and it was the 7'6"!(those were the only ones Gander Mt. had in stock). I couldn't imagine how light the 7' or 7'3"'s are. I definitely think I'm going to be getting me one here soon.
