Even lighter than the originals - the Castaway Skeleton Micro Guide Casting Rods now have the added benefit of premium Micro Guides that weigh 85% less than a set of conventional guides. Less weight on the rod means less stress on anglers with shoulder, elbow, or wrist pains, not to mention greatly improving the feel and balance of the rod. CastAway's micro guides are sized large enough for the passage of knots, but are still small enough for increased casting distances and sensitivity.
The series gets its name Skeleton from the fact that Castaway cut away every gram of excess weight possible. Castaway even went as far as to modify the rods' handle design in order to utilize less cork and reduce glue. All this in an effort to further limit weight and increase sensitivity. Each Castaway Skeleton Casting Rod also features a patent-pending, super-exposed reel seat, putting you in contact with more of the rod blank and allowing you to feel every bump and tick of your line. Lighter than ever before - the Castaway Skeleton Micro Guide Casting Rods.
Comments: These Skeleton rods are the best rods I have ever thrown. The quality of the components and the sensitivity of the high quality blanks really make me enjoy fishing that much more. Fishing being such a mental game requires being able to eliminate distracting factors. When I fish these rods, I concentrate on the fish and the pattern instead of my equipment. My confidence in knowing these rods will get it done keeps my focus on feeling the structure and bite. I can't say enough about this quality rod and such a fine company. Thanks Castaway!

Comments: Really nice rod. Ive got the 7' medium rod and its the best squarebill rod ive ever owned. Its stiff enough to battle big fish, but limber enough to not put the treble out of the fishes mouth. You can feel everything the squarebill deflects off of with this rod. Great warranty as well.
