Offering an excellent blend of performance and price, the Daiwa Aird Casting Rods feature Daiwa’s IM6 Graphite blanks and quality components. The blanks furnish the sensitivity and power you need to consistently put bass in the boat, and the stainless steel guides are also designed to stand up to the repeated abuse of hard fighting fish, delivering the durability you need on the water.
All but the essential material was also removed from the Pac Bay Minima Reel Seats, providing direct access to the rod blank for maximum sensitivity transfer, while still ensuring a strong base for your reel and minimizing weight. The split grip handle configuration complete with EVA HD foam grips reduces weight even further, and helps balance out each rod. Featuring sleek gold and black styling, the Daiwa Aird Casting Rods have the performance you need at the price you want.

Comments: This is my go-to rod. The 7'6 is the one I bring if I am restricted to one rod only. I can spinnerbait, worm, swimbait, frog with this one rod. Its strong enough to easily pull 5 pounders out of heavy weeds. Accurate enough to pinpoint cast spinnerbaits. Backbone to set froggin hooks from afar. I am happy to see you can still buy a great rod at dirt cheap prices. I am not into impressing friends.. I am into utility. This is the rod!

Comments: Best bang for buck!!! This is an awesome stick for this price and I would not spend more $ for lesser sticks out there. So light and powerfully accurate. Hauled in many a fish from the wild weeds using this bad boy!

Comments: All i gotta say is you gotta get one of these. It's totally worth it. A good rod at a good price, you cant go wrong with it.
Comments: This rod is awesome! I got it last year(2012) in July. and I love it. I defiantly recommend it to a fishing buddy.
From: Connor: NY
Comments: If you aren't on a discount/pro staff program with another rod manufacturer then this is the best 55 dollars you will ever spend. not a lighter stronger rod within 100 dollars of this thing. hard to believe it sells for the low price it does. There are a few other companies selling 150 dollar rods that aren't as nice as these.
From: Josh: AR
Comments: This rod is sick! The orange goes great with the dark blue reel that sits on it! Love to use it for flipping and even a little froggin and A-Riggin!
From: Cole: Geneseo, IL
Comments: I own 7 of these and I use them more than my duckets and dobyns so far my favorite rod
From: bass master patrick
Comments: I'll echo some of the comments below. First off, at the price point, this is a nice rod. I have the 6'6" Medium Casting rod, and it tosses single and double Hula tail grubs easily, loads quickly, and has good sensitivity. Very good backbone, too, for a medium power rod. It's become my "grubbing special". Quite well made, and really a bit funky: the handle style is ultra modern, but the stainless steel guides are very retro. An interesting fusion of style that just happens to make a sweet little rod. "Poor Man's Carrot Stick"? Probably not, but I'll be adding another to my collection for chatterbaits. Really nice job Daiwa, keeping the price down and quality up. If you're hankering to fish an orange rod, but don't want to drop big bucks, check out an Aird.
From: John: Jefferson, NJ
Comments: Amazingly light, comfortable, durable rod. For the price they are unmatched. In my opinion thought the heavy is a med heavy, and the MH is probably a medium. Currently own 5 and compare well with carrot stix.
From: Jeff: WI
Comments: Very nice rod for only $50.00. I have the MH 7ft model, use it for all around, worming, light flipping, C Rig, Chatterbaits, Topwater and more. Vey light and sensitive for only $50! Get it now, quality rod
From: Kyle: Roswell, GA
Comments: I bought the 7ft heavy action rod for frogging. I was using a 7ft medium heavy abu veritas for my froggin duties before i purchased this rod and I can honestly say this rod is much better and almost 50 bucks cheaper. maybe they aren't as sensitive as more expensive rods but i only use it for frogging so sensitivity really doesn't matter at all. if they only made a 7ft heavy version of this rod, called it a froggin rod and priced it at $150 I would still feel like it was money well spent thats how impressed i am with this rod.
From: Rob: Burnham, PA
Comments: I bought the 7'6" heavy to flip with and i love it! i boat flipped an 8 pounder on the kissimmee chain today with ease. best flipping rod for the money!!
From: Chase: FL
Comments: I bought a casting and a spinning Aird rod. They are amazingly lightweight and sensitive for a $50 rod. They have held up well to several large bass that I have caught with them. On the spinning reel, the line sometimes catches on the lure holder. I just always keep it folded in to prevent this. Good Rods, good price. I would not hesitate to buy another one if I needed it.
From: James: Muncie, IN
Comments: Bought the 7" Heavy rod to replace my 7' 11" MH Okuma Guide Select which not snap and I am pleasantly surprise. I have it outfitted with an Okuma Calera baitcasting reel using MattLures swimbaits. As expected it doesn't cast as far with lures less than 3/8 oz alone but if I rig a sinker with 1/8 oz extra wide gap hooks it works wonders. Very accurate casting. Tip is sensitive with good fast action as advertised. Quite durable and you can't beat the price. I mean the Okuma rods are already a great value but these beat those. They only go up to 7'6" which is not as long as the 7'11 from Okuma but I think it is just as competitive.
