Comments: If you aren't on a discount/pro staff program with another rod manufacturer then this is the best 55 dollars you will ever spend. not a lighter stronger rod within 100 dollars of this thing. hard to believe it sells for the low price it does.  There are a few other companies selling 150 dollar rods that aren't as nice as these.

Comments:  I'll echo some of the comments below. First off, at the price point, this is a nice rod. I have the 6'6" Medium Casting rod, and it tosses single and double Hula tail grubs easily, loads quickly, and has good sensitivity. Very good backbone, too, for a medium power rod. It's become my "grubbing special". Quite well made, and really a bit funky: the handle style is ultra modern, but the stainless steel guides are very retro. An interesting fusion of style that just happens to make a sweet little rod. "Poor Man's Carrot Stick"? Probably not, but I'll be adding another to my collection for chatterbaits. Really nice job Daiwa, keeping the price down and quality up. If you're hankering to fish an orange rod, but don't want to drop big bucks, check out an Aird.

Comments: Amazingly light, comfortable, durable rod. For the price they are unmatched. In my opinion thought the heavy is a med heavy, and the MH is probably a medium. Currently own 5 and compare well with carrot stix.

Comments: I bought the 7ft heavy action rod for frogging.  I was using a 7ft medium heavy abu veritas for my froggin duties before i purchased this rod and I can honestly say this rod is much better and almost 50 bucks cheaper. maybe they aren't as sensitive as more expensive rods but i only use it for frogging so sensitivity really doesn't matter at all. if they only made a 7ft heavy version of this rod, called it a froggin rod and priced it at $150 I would still feel like it was money well spent thats how impressed i am with this rod.

Comments: I bought a casting and a spinning Aird rod.  They are amazingly lightweight and sensitive for a $50 rod.  They have held up well to several large bass that I have caught with them.  On the spinning reel, the line sometimes catches on the lure holder.  I just always keep it folded in to prevent this. Good Rods, good price. I would not hesitate to buy another one if I needed it.

Comments: Bought the 7" Heavy  rod to replace my 7' 11" MH  Okuma Guide Select which not snap and I am pleasantly surprise.  I have it outfitted with an Okuma Calera baitcasting reel using MattLures swimbaits.  As expected it doesn't cast as far with lures less than 3/8 oz alone but if I rig a sinker with 1/8 oz extra wide gap hooks it works wonders.  Very accurate casting.  Tip is sensitive with good fast action as advertised.  Quite durable and you can't beat the price.  I mean the Okuma rods are already a great value but these beat those.  They only go up to 7'6" which is not as long as the 7'11 from Okuma but I think it is just as competitive.
