A split grip handle configuration complete with EVA HD foam grips also balances out each rod for minimized fatigue and added comfort on the water. Gold and black styling ensures the Daiwa Aird Spinning Rods look great on the water, and match up perfectly with the performance-oriented Daiwa Aird Spinning Reel - for a quality spinning set-up under $150.
Comments: I bought the 7' M and I am thoroughly impressed! It is ultra light and with the aird reel, it is perfectly balanced. This rod is much thinner in diameter than most rods of the same length and action. The tip is extra fast and the rod has a lot of flex to it. However at the same time, it has a strong backbone despite how thin it is. Definitely going to excel in finesse situations. This may be my new drop shot rod. Also, the pictures don't really do justice for the color. Rather than orange, it's more of a metallic gold/orange and looks really nice. Definitely a steal for $54.95!

Comments: I can't believe nobody has submitted any reviews for this reel yet. If you are on the edge and debating buying this reel, don't hesitate any further and buy it! I thought the Tierra was the smoothest spinning reel I have ever felt. This is just as smooth if not smoother. And with the spare spool that has a higher line capacity along with the 6.2:1 gear ratio of the 2500, this reel is a steel for $89.95!
