The Daiwa Ballistic Casting Rods feature Daiwa’s latest innovations in blank technology - Bias X-Torque Graphite and Glatech blanks. Daiwa’s Bias X-Torque Graphite blanks, used for the topwater, worm & jig, frogging and flipping rods, are composed of multiple layers of graphite, bias graphite and high-modulus graphite, depending on the rod’s intended use. The proprietary blends provide added sensitivity and power toward the tip end of the rods, and maximum power and toughness as you move toward the butt end and the handle. (See below for more info on specific actions)
The spinnerbait model, on the other hand, features the revolutionary Glatech blank, which are composed of inner circular layers of graphite combined with multiple outer layers of resilient glass. The rods feature more glass toward the tip end of the rod for added flexibility and toughness, and a higher graphite to glass ratio toward the butt end of the rod for increased power and toughness where you need it most. (See below for more info on specific actions)
Fine tuned for specific applications, each rod also includes lightweight Fuji Aluminum Guides with super hard Oxide inserts for maximum durability and reduced friction. Split grip handles complete with EVA HD Grips balance out each rod, and premium Fuji reel seats provide direct access to the rod blank. Go ballistic with the new Daiwa Ballistic Casting Rods.
Topwater/Twitching Actions - Graphite tip section, Bias Graphite Fiber/Graphite lower blank section, Graphite butt section - provides a powerful, sensitive tip with a high-strength powerful backbone.
Worming/Jigging, Frogging & Flipping Actions - High-modulus Graphite/Graphite tip section, Bias Graphite Fiber/High-modulus Graphite/Graphite lower blank section, High-modulus Graphite/Graphite butt section - provides a strong, sensitive tip action and ultra tough, torque resistant butt section for power fishing techniques - moving strong fish from cover.
Spinnerbait Action - Glatech tip section, Graphite/Glatech lower blank and butt section - combines the tip flexibility and toughness needed for fishing reactions baits with the backbone needed for fish control.

Comments: Really was hoping for a really nice rod. I ordered it for my bday a month in advance because I didn't know how long the sale would last. I was very disappointed when opened it on my bday to see that the first guide was offset from the rest by a quarter of an inch. Ofcourse I can't send it back now because I waited to open it. It shouldn't affect the rod to much but will definitely be bothering me on the water. Not happy

Comments: I purchased the crankbait and heavy style for this rod and I love it. Great price and great product. Already pulled a few in with ease. Being confident in a rod to get the job done is key!

Comments: Ultra tip heavy - I guess you get what you pay for.

Comments: I got the rod a couple of days ago and so far I have loved it. ive got the daiwa lexa 100 on it right now. great for crankbaiting deepwater. I have the medium heavy version. excellent reel and would highly recommend it.

Comments: Just received mine in the mail a couple days ago and pretty impressed. The screw down reel locks are very nice, sturdy metal like on the Abu Garcia V series rods but with a rubber cap on the end so it doesn't scratch up your reel. I have the 7'1" H, and without having taken it out yet, it's comparable in feel to the 7'2" worm/jig Skeet Reese rod but lighter even though it's an action heavier. The foam handles are very comfortable, and the handle length I feel is perfect. Long enough to be useable, but not super long like a lot of rods which I like. Have it paired up with my Lews Speed spool, awesome looking combo that I'm hoping will do well with my jig and texas-rig fishing. Would definitely recommend at this sale price.

Comments: I wanted to update my gear and saw these on sale. I took a chance and bought a few. I have used all types of rods over the past 30 years of Bass Fishing, from the best to not so good. I have to say these rods are GREAT (especially for the price). I bought several different actions and they are all great. From the cranking rod to the spinning rod I bought for dropshottin'. I was so pleased I bought a few more. Daiwa never disappoints. GREAT ROD FOR THE MONEY!!!

Comments: Great rod paired up with lews speed spool. Flipping rod casts really far with the lews on it.
Comments: If you have even the slightest thought of getting please do. This rod is sweet.

Comments: Saw this rod for sale and thought what a great deal. So I bought the 7 1 heavy for jig fishing. When I received the rod, the first thing I saw were the guides. They are fuji but for some reason daiwa decided to use huge guides. That bothered me because it makes the rod look cheap but on the water was a different story. I've caught multiple fish on it and I have to say its powerful, somewhat light and has above average sensitivity. It's a steal for 65 bucks.

Comments: Purchased two of these rods because of the great sale. I got the 7" twitching/topwater and the 7"6' for flipping, and I am very pleased! I have already caught a ton of fish with the flipping rod because that's about all I do, and I really like to use the other rod for frogs with 50# braid, and you cant believe the action I can give a frog. this a great rod even at the original price!

Comments: Ive hadthe 7'7 med crank rod for a while now. Initially, I was afraid to use it for my square bills and thick cover. I was affraid it didnt have the backbone needed. Today I used it to rip 3 inch square bills though heavy hydrilla and milfoil. I only caught 5 fish today, but all on this rod. I caught one nice fish, 4.6lbs, and was able to swing him in the boat with this rod. One downside to this rod is it seems like the guides are too big and it's a bit tip heavy..but overall I am satisfied. For the price I would def get the 7'2 MH crank

Comments: i have the BLS691MHFB ( wormin/jiggin rod ) i have used this for over a month now and have caught plenty of bass with it and overall i have to say that iam impressed with this rod. sensitivty is there with plenty of power to pull big bass from heavy cover, the hook holder is a good idea as it rotates up and down. lightweight and feels great in the palm of my hand, the only thing i dont like about it is with wet hands and the foam handle feels like im going to lose the rod as i cast. not as good as my daiwa s series rod which keep in mind is only 20$ more, for the money the ballistic is well worth it but my opinion would be to go with a s series..
From: Matt: Atco, NJ
Comments: Bought the topwater/twitchin rod---though there is nothing on the rod that designates it. I like what I see so far. Would like to see a 6-6 model in a med and med hvy introduces as a jerkbait rod
Comments: I own 6 Ballistics..2 of the big cranking rods and 4 of the bottom bouncing varieties. I love the worming and jigging rods..the 6'9 and 7'1 rods are well worth the money. 1st trip out pitching to the edge of pads I had a over run and was in the middle of picking it out when I felt the tap....so I was quite surprised on the sensitivity. I did/do not enjoy the big cranking sticks...they are tip heavy and I have issues hitting the sweet spot when casting...when I do hit it they go a mile but I am much to inconsistent and when I get on the water I want to fish..not learn how to toss DD22's on these sticks....I have 3 more on order..2 frog rods and the spinner bait rod...Well worth the money in my opinion.
