Boasting Daiwa's latest innovations in blank technology, the Daiwa Ballistic Spinning Rods feature Daiwa's advanced Bias X-Torque Graphite construction. Composed of multiple layers of graphite and bias graphite in proprietary technique specific blends, the tip sections are composed of graphite, and the lower portion of the blanks feature an outer layer of bias graphite fiber with a graphite core, while the butt sections are composed of graphite. This provides added sensitivity and power toward the tip end of the rods, and maximum power and toughness as you move toward the butt end where you need it most.
Each rod in the Ballistic Spinning Series also includes lightweight Fuji Aluminum Guides with super hard Oxide inserts for maximum durability and reduced friction. Split grip handles complete with EVA HD Grips balance out each rod, and premium Fuji reel seats provide a secure lightweight base for your reel. The Daiwa Ballistic Spinning Rods - go ballistic!
Comments: Current discount/liquidation price is about right, but original price over $120 doesn't worth it. This ballistic is only partial graphite. Another $50-60 more, the discontinued Fuego rod is much better - lifetime warranty, fully biased graphite. Perhaps the worst was the work quality of the ballistic reels. Daiwa tried to sell a $199 spinning ballistic reel, made in China, with poor paint job and poor assembly quality. I bought 2 4000 ballistic when it first released, they don't even have same color shades, and the reel is far worse than Fuego it was discontinuing.
