Comments: Please ignore the last review about this rod not being good for bank fishing. This rod has been fantastic. I bank fish a lot and this rod does the job. I mainly frog fish with it. I use 50lb braid and pull them out of thickest weeds. I have also used this for swim baits and other top water lures.

Comments: I like this rod. BUT, dont get it if you are a bank angler... super tip heavy, so probably good for frog fishing (of course). I like to tip the rod down when using it and its wayy to tall for a guy like me. The tip already broke since Im hitting the ground constatly with this rod. Oh and jig fishing, noouuuuu. Cuz its mad tip heavy its really hard to pop and move a jig, a big one at that. If you are a boat guy though, this is the rod for you. Man just saying though quality-wise its REALLY good. Man the cork in it of itself is beautiful!!! Man I love the cork handle on this rod. LOVE IT!

Comments: Buy this rod. Simple as that. Plus it's so versatile. Froggin, jigs, light flipping, small swimbaits, any other topwater, worms. This can do it all. Extremely well built. And also it's beautiful. Just the look of it is amazing.

Comments: I bought this rod and the new Tatula 150 with 50lb braid for my brother as a birthday present and I used it about a month after him having it for an outing of frogging. Now, my lineup of rods is composed of Megabass Destroyers, and Daiwa Steez sticks mostly for context. After catching some pretty good sized fish out if pads and various heavy grass mats I was very impressed first how balanced and powerful this combo is for a VERY reasonable and in my opinion valuable price point. Now it doesn't even hold a candle to my Steez XBD frog rod, but for the money the DX is the best on the market I've used. Try out for sure if you want to get a dedicated frog setup because its honestly better than some of the $250 rods Ive used!

Comments: This rod came in the other day so I decided to put it to the test day 1. Was throwing it with 30lb braid and a frog in heavy grass and Lilly pads and this thing performed amazing. Pulled two fish out of the grass and was able to pull in a 4lb largy. This rod is comfortable and worth every dime. Highly recommended for those looking for a solid topwater rod!

Comments: Build quality is outstanding, just like every Daiwa product I've owned. The rod is very stout, it takes a lot to get the tip to bend, which is usually the exact opposite of what I look for in a frog rod, but after having it out for a couple trips I'm glad to say that it walks a frog very easily. I'm enjoying it but for guys who like frog rods with a soft tip, this isn't that rod. With all that being said it's very nice, feels of great quality and just looks amazing. It's pretty light for what it is, balances very well with the 7 ounce reel I have on it, and is flat out powerful. This rod can easily pull punching duty as well as frogging. So far I've found 1 oz baits to be the sweet spot for casting, it'll cast 1/2 oz very well too but the rod just doesn't load up much. Overall I'm very happy with this rod and look forward to continue to use it for my heavy cover applications.

Comments: Rod is very well built like all Daiwa rods I have purchased. Fuji line guides are very high quality. Ive stepped on them countless times on the deck of the boat and they just bend right back. Rod has excellent power and plenty of backbone to horse those fish out of cover. I also use it as a flipping stick and has surprisingly great sensitivity. Highly recommend this rod! Great quality for an even better price!

Comments: Purchased this rod a few days ago and upon inspection it looks to be a very nice rod. Haven't fished it yet, but am impressed with the quality. Tempted to purchase another as I am the type that 2 is 1 and 1 is none.
