Comments: Ive had this reel for about a year, still works great. twitch bar works great for throwing frogs and jigs. suggest getting a berkley amp rod with makes a get set up believe it or not.
From: Lucas: Minneapolis, MN
Comments: Ive had this reel for 2 weeks now and its works pretty well. At first the twitchin bar was hard to push but now that its been used its soft as hot butter. Casting distance is the same as my pro qualifier. Not bad, but I'd save my money and get a Lews or something of higher cost that will last longer.
From: Tristen: NC
Comments: This is without a doubt the worst reel I have ever owned. I will never purchase a Daiwa due to this reel.
From: Craig
Comments: Had the reel for about 2 years then some how the twitching bar gear messed up and locked up the reel. When I would reel, the bar would come down and I could only reel as far as the twitching bar would role. I took the reel apart and pulled the whole twitching bar out and now I use it for top water with 20 pound braid and it does ok now.
From: Casey: Corner, AL
Comments: not the best reel.. u really have to click the cast button with force so that u can cast.. if not it makes a loud grinding noise.. makes the reel sound cheap.. then it backlashes on me.. the twitch bar is really useless.. dont think i use it when im out on the water.. not the type of reel for a beginner fisherman.. look elsewhere..
From: Tony: MN
Comments: the first year i had this reel, it was ok, except for the cast button was having some problems. i was not impressed with the casting distance, or the smoothness. the twitchin bar is very cheap, it breaks easily. then after that broke, the gears got screwed up, and the reel no longer works.
From: Timothy: Milwaukee, WI
Comments: this reel never would perform as i expected it too. its not smooth and unless you are throwing big crankbaits you cant cast this thing further than ten feet. i am dissapointed in purchasing this reel.
From: Bryce: CA
Comments: this reels very good, very smooth, its hard to get birdsnests, its an all around great reel. always use braid on it floro or mono gets tangled. plus, if you dont push the button down far enough, when you cast, it grinds and makes a sound. its the best reel i own.
From: Kenden: Wind Lake, WI
Comments: Since the original got such horrible reviews, I figured I would be the guinea pig and purchase this reel. I bought this along with a Tierra and tested them out side by side. In terms of the smoothness of reeling, it actually feels a bit smoother than the Tierra. However, if you spin the handle fast and let go, it doesn't really keep spinning freely while the Tierra does for a bit. I messed with the twitching bar for about 5 minutes straight and it was smooth and functioned flawlessly. I paired it with a Team Daiwa T 7' 6'' H Flipping and Pitching Rod and tied on a 3/8 oz jig. This reel casts far and smooth. I'm pleased with it so far. I guess it's a test of time to see how well Daiwa beefed up and redesigned this reel.
