Daiwa Steez SVF-XBD Spinning Rod - $469.99
The Daiwa Steez SVF-XBD Spinning Rod answers the call for a spinning rod specifically designed to handle the braided lines prevalent in today's bass fishing. Many anglers have come to appreciate braided line due to the fact it is extremely strong and durable with less stretch and thinner diameters than standard monofilament or fluorocarbon lines (20 lb. test braid has same diameter as 6 lb. mono). While braided lines provide many advantages to anglers, they can also pose a problem for fishing equipment.
In order to accommodate the extreme stress and torque put on the rod blank when fishing today's braided super lines, the Daiwa Steez SVF-XBD Spinning Rod features a unique blank construction, which sandwiches uni-directional graphite between bias graphite throughout the entire blank length. Daiwa's SVF (Super High Volume Fiber) graphite construction also combines precise resin control with the graphite fiber to produce a blank with maximum graphite density. The result is an extremely lightweight rod with greater strength and sensitivity to handle the braided super lines. The special Fuji Titanium framed SIC Guides are also positioned closer to the blank for less twisting by the pressure of heavy lines and built extra tough so the braided line won't cut in or groove.
The Steez SVF-XBD Spinning Rod is also outfitted with Daiwa's premium components. All excess weight is removed from the core of the Air-Beam Reel Seats, leaving only the material necessary for strength and durability. The Machined Spinning Reel Clamp firmly locks the reel in place with a click to let you know it's secure. Air-Foam Grips round out the features, providing superior light-weight comfort. The Daiwa Steez SVF Spinning Rod is a must-have for fishing braided lines on a spinning setup.
