Daiwa Tatula Glass Crankbait Casting Rods

The Daiwa Tatula Glass Crankbait Casting Rods offer the moderate bends and forgiving tips you need for fishing crankbaits thanks to their advanced E-Glass blank constructions. They provide the ability to make long, accurate casts with the proper amount of play to cushion strikes before the rods’ backbone engages to drive the hooks home.

The ergonomic blank-thru reel seats form a solid comfortable platform for your reel and combined with premium EVA split grip handles provide the comfort you need to “chuck and wind” all day long. Fuji Alconite guides span each blank, promoting optimum rod curvature, and also delivering the durability and strength you need for braided lines and repeated casts. Excellent rods for a solid price, the Daiwa Tatula Glass Crankbait Casting Rods are also backed by a 5-year warranty.

Comments: The 7'2" MedHvy is perfect for my shallow water fishing. have it paired up with the Type-R and 16lb Sunline FC Sniper. I love throwing all my moving baits on this rod especially a bladed swim jig. well worth the money.

Comments: Got the 7'7" & absolutely SLEW the bass in the stained water of my local honey hole after heavy rains. The blank is perfectly straight save for an ever-so-slight upward rise at the tip, which may help with stabilizing tip response. The guides are perfectly oriented with the spline. This rod is tailor made for 1/2 oz cranks. It effortlessly pitches and casts them smoothly and accurately. The tip soaks up the heavy vibration from squarebills without sacrificing sensitivity. You always know what your bait is doing and what it's running into. It has a perfect tip heavy balance, at least with a 6.5 oz reel spooled with 30lb braid, for working cranks, jerkbaits, and topwaters. I turned 90% of the strikes I got into landed fish, even from non-committal biters. At 5.6 ounces, it's about an ounce heavier than its carbon counterpart and has a 3/4" longer handle. I haven't fished the non-glass rod, so I can't make any comparisons there, but I just can't see how it could be as smooth, supple, and easy casting as this. As the tip does rebound a bit more than the graphite rod probably does, that one may be a better choice for Jerkbaits and poppers, but I fished those no problem, too, and I have a feeling that a wider range of lure weights can be more effectively cast with the glass version. It was able to launch a 1/4oz trap as well as a 3/4 Zara spook just fine. This rod is tough, too. I lifted a few 2-3 lb hard thrashing bass out of the water without issue. From now on, I will definitely be happier to put down my Flipping Stick when the cranking bite is on.

Comments: If you like to throw vibrating jigs, aka chatter baits, do yourself a favor and get the 7'2" MH glass Tatula rod now, before the early Spring when that bite starts. Very light weight for a glass rod and surprisingly sensitive too. This rod has the perfect action for vibrating jigs! Paired with a Tatula Type-R reel, this is a winning combo.
