Dobyns Savvy Micro Guide Casting Rods - $159.99 to $179.99
Now equipped with Kigan Micro Guides, the Dobyns Savvy Micro Guide Casting Rods still deliver performance akin to the first generation Dobyns Champion Series Rods, and the more affordable price point that anglers love. The premium micro guides only add to the series’ performance characteristics, reducing weight and increasing casting distance and accuracy. As a testament to their quality, Gary Dobyns, the owner and the West’s all-time leading money winner, vows he won’t make a rod he wouldn’t personally fish, which is another reason why he painstakingly ensured each rod in the series was perfectly tuned and balanced.
Dobyns cut down on some of the cosmetics and made adjustments in other non-performance essential areas to keep the price point down. Still equipped with high quality proprietary reel seats and a no-fore grip design to facilitate increased sensitivity transfer, a split-grip handle system also helps further reduce rod weight and increase leverage. Offering advanced micro guide technology combined with the high performance and affordable pricepoint that anglers love, the Dobyns Savvy Micro Guide Casting Rods deliver beyond technique-specific performance.
All Dobyns Savvy Rods covered by a $60 "no hassles replacement plan."

Comments: Just got my 735c Paired with a BB1 Pro and am very pleased. Ive always been a ST.Croix guy and i like the look and feel of these rods more than i like the avid series. They fish about the same though. Anyway this thing has quickly jumped to being my favorite setup in the short period of time that i've had it. Now im hoping it can withstand lots of use so i can buy buy more.

Comments: I have used this rod since August. It is a very versatile rod that can be used for multiple baits and presentation styles. It is extremely well balanced. The components are excellent and the rod is awesome!

Comments: I own several of these Savvys. From 703, 733, 734, 735 & 766 flip. They are all amazing and If you enjoy flipping then you owe it to yourself to put the 766 Flip in your hands. Very sensitive with an unbelievable backbone. I throw everything from Shakey heads and dropshot to spinnerbaits and swimbaits on these savvys.

Comments: Beyond the best rod I have purchased I have two of the savvy's and a champion series all three are flipping sticks. I live in Florida and flip a lot of thick matted grass and vegetation and I am yet to have one problem with these rods. the eyes are very strong and the rod has great back bone. I have landed more big fish on these rods than I have on my others. All around a great rod. I would definitely recommend to others.

Comments: I am left scratching my head on some of the reviews here. How can you compare a Savvy to a Gloomis rod? It can't be done and it is very mis-leading. The Savvy rod feels dead in your hand. This is the VERY last rod you would want to use if you are fishing Texas rig's, jig's or bottom contact baits. The rods are ok for moving baits that you do not need to feel with but for plastics, you had better look for a better rod because this one has no feeling at all.

Comments: I love this rod! I just bought the 703 for throwing tx rigs and senkos. I have landed several fish over 6 with it and it handles very well. great tip and solid back bone to it. I recommend it to anyone
From: Hunter: Dalton, GA 5/14/14
Comments: I love these rods so much. I have the 734 model. Its a 7 foot 3 heavy action rod. The micro guides on these are perfect size, and they are super smooth and do no harm to your line. You can throw anything on these rods . Overall a great rod especially for the price. The tip is super nice and light, these rods are strong but still sensitive enough to get the job done. Instead of buying a Loomis or St. Croix do yourself a favor and go out and get a dobyns for half the price and the same if not better performance. If you are a serious bass fisherman you should have these rods on every single reel you own. I can guarantee you will feel more comfortable with one of these rods over everything else on the, market. They are the nicest rods on the market!
From: Brady: Eldridge, IA 4/29/14
Comments: I ordered the 704c to use for texas rigs and pitching primarily. It is super light weight and very sensitive. I was kind of hesitant about the heavy power because a couple of reviews said that it was more like a medium heavy power. I do not think that is the case at all. Compared to every one of my medium heavy rods in a fast action, this is one noticeably stiffer. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again, and will be slowly replacing all of my rods with the Dobyns Savvy Series! Tight lines!
From: Joe: Huntsville, AL 4/26/14
Comments: The savvy micro series is a great line of rods for the price. Good looking rod with the red accents. I have the 733, 734 and 735 and with those 3 rods you can do just about anything Bass related. Great value!
From: John: Eldridge, IA 3/26/14
Comments: This rod is exceptionally light and has a rather strong back bone for it's weight. I've caught many fish with it. I would recommend it to anyone.
From: Xiong: Charlotte, NC
Comments: caught a 6lb4oz largemouth on jig last spring on the 6ft 6 inch med heavy. Biggest fish of my life. Tough fight but got the job done. A GREAT all purpose jig rod with plenty of sensitivity
From: Matthew: VA
Comments: Got the 735c and it is really well balanced and crazy light weight. It is so light that I can pitch for 8 hours a day and never tire. The mag heavy power seems stretched a bit. I would say it is more of a heavy but this is still my go to rod for pitching.
From: Matt: IL
Comments: gotta 735 its perfect setup up with quatuim exo very light weight even being amag heavy it throws hollow body frogs a mile
From: Nick: Puyallup, WA

From: Scott: ME
Comments: Decent rod very similar to a St croix premier. I think there are better rods out there. A lot of people fall in love with the name. You want a Dobyns save your cash and get the Champion Extreme model.
From: Ed: Chicago, IL
Comments: I bought a 733 MH, very light weight and sensitive. The rod is more like a medium action rod. I would buy the heavy action if you looking for a MH action, besides that it is an excellent rod for the money.
From: Ray: Nanjemoy, MD
Comments: Just got the 735c micro for my pitch/flip rod, and its perfect for the job! Dont be hesitant on buying this rod. Paired it with the chronarch 200e, and is now one of my favorite set ups.

From: Parker: Redding, CA
Comments: Anybody that has the flipping stick would you do alittle feed back im alittle nervous buying this rod without feeling it. how do you like it for flipping frogging and throughing little swimbaits
From: Kyle: Itasca
Comments: Ordered the 703C and 704C. These rods are lighter than my 6'6" rods I was using. Sensitivity is awesome. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. They don't look fancy with the flat black blank, but man am I impressed so far. The guides are a lot smaller, but not super small like the Duckett Rods.
From: Billy: San Antonio, TX
Comments: I got the 7 foot mh. I love it. cain't wait to get it out on the water
From: bdavis: Garner, NC
Comments: I bought the 7' MH and I must say this is a great Rod. I am very happy with this Rod, I find myself reaching for the Powell Rods I have, a little more when I am fishing but I would be very happy if this was the only Rod I had. You can't go wrong with it and for the price it is a very good rod. I will be buying more very soon.
From: Kevin: LA
