The Don Iovino's Bass Fishing and the Sonar Connection Book uncovers the specialized world of refined techniques such as down-shotting, split-shotting, doodling and darter heads, as well as, Iovino's invaluable insight on sonar interpretation. Don Iovino has been at the forefront of sonar use and finesse bass fishing techniques since the 1970's, and he continues to fine-tune his own, as well as, other established methods. An informative book that any bass angler can learn at thing or two from, the Don Iovino's Bass Fishing and the Sonar Connection Book was written by Don Iovino with George Kramer.
"No second hand information here. Find out about the finesse phenomenon from the guy who was there from the beginning, Don Iovino. As a guide, tournament pro and innovator, he has been a major influence on the sport." - Michael Jones, BASS senior writer.
Comments: The book was published in 2001. The techniques of each finesse style are common knowledge, he is mainly just describing the technique while barely scratching the surface of the actual practice and application. The sonar connection portion is of no value, it is one of the shortest sections and doesn't provide any more information than "the arch shaped things are fish!". If you have zero knowlegde of bass fishing, this may be a good book for you, otherwise, this book is obsolete.
