Falcon BuCoo Casting Rods - $99.99 to $109.99
Proudly made in the USA
The Falcon BuCoo Casting Rods have arrived and hit the ground running. Highly anticipated in the bass fishing world for good reason, the Bucoo Rod Series provides one of the best values available today in a bass rod. Combining Falcon's proven actions with the best 100% Fuji Components available, the BuCoo Series from Falcon delivers on price-point and performance. Potent all-black styling from tip to handle give the Falcon BuCoo Rods a classic look that will always look great on the water.
Each BuCoo Rod is constructed from Falcon's own American-made FXB graphite blanks, providing increased sensitivity and strength while maintaining an extremely light overall weight. The blank's sensitivity is more readily transferred into the angler's hands via the Exposed Blank Fuji Reel Seats and the No-Foregrip Design. A Split Grip Handle with ergonomic EVA Foam Grips provides superior comfort for long days on the water, while also contributing to reduce the rod's weight. Fuji Guides spaced expertly along the rods length round out the quality features and contribute to unlocking Falcon's characteristic rod actions.
The Bucoo Casting Rods are perfect for anyone looking for a quality rod with premium components - without spending Bucoo bucks.
Comments: These rods are going to be hard to beat for the price point. Fairly sensitive (like what you could expect out of the new string of $100 rods out now), decent selection of lengths and actions. What I like about this rod is how well made it is for the price! There's no drip in the guide epoxy, the Fuji guides and reel seat are obviously quality components, the foam and butt are durable, and the blank is tough. In my opinion, one of the very best in the $100 range. You will not have buyer's remorse.

Comments: This rod is great has the backbone and the sesitivity for throwing a jig.. Hands down the best! I bought the 7' foot Med Hvy and landed a nice 4 pounder on it.. Great rod!
From: Grant: OK
Comments: The best rods I have ever fished with, super lite and super strong. these rods will get the job done.
From: Jake: LA
Comments: Bought one BuCoo 7'6 med. and not what i expected. I didnt think it was to going to be so Flimsy. other then that it is a great square bill cranking rod. i had a lipless crank on and snagged a 45+ grass carp and it took it like a champ.
Comments: I have purchase 3 of the mh rods and love them. However the other day one broke at the butt when I was reeling a fish in. Never stepped on it or anything. Just broke.
From: Jack: Okeechobee, FL
Comments: I absolutely love this rod. I've been using them for two years, in various lengths and actions, and to me they are the perfect answer to high-end performance at affordable prices. Are they as good as a Loomis? Of course not. But they are light, perfectly balanced, extremely sensitive, and made in the USA. I don't think I could use another rod.
From: David: Atkinson, NH
Comments: I wouldn't recommend this rod. For $110, there are better options available. I used the 7' MH casting rod all summer and caught many bass with it. It is lightweight and strong, but not sensitive at all (8 guides on a 7 foot rod, really?!). I just purchased a 7'2 Powell Diesel on TW for only $69.95. It's not as light as the Bucoo, but i can tell you that it is a lot more sensitive and casts a lot better too. Haven't caught any fish yet to determine the power, but i have a feeling power will not be an issue with Powell rods.
From: Rickie: AR
Comments: great rod super light sensative love it handles braid perfectly slammed it in the car door and it was fine!
Comments: Let's not get carried away. This is a not bad rod and for a hundred it's pretty fair and will probably get job done but comparing it to a 200 dollar rodblike fashion..Powell,etc is just not so...not even close.
From: David: The Woodlands, TX
Comments: Just got my 7'MH in the other day and it is suuuuper light balances out awesome with my curado E7. Took it to a local pond and caught 5 2-3 pounders with a shallow running rapala. Handed the small bait great. The sensativity on this thing is awesome too, could feel my bait ticking single blades of grass. Ive only fished this rod once and it already blows my old Skeet Reese Cranking stick out of the water. Highly recomended.
From: Reed: TX
Comments: i have a 7ml spinning rod that is almost as sensitive and light as a similar cumara, so i bought a 7' m casting for light jigs and plastics. very happy w/ with the weight, action and sensitvity. great rod for light 3/16-3/8 finesse jigs, shaky heads and light texas rigs. for 100 bucks, no need to look any further
From: Jeff: NJ
Comments: mixed feelings. love the comfort and weight of the rods. they feel like a feather in your hand. they are strong yet sensitive. my problem is i was throwing a 3/8 oz spinnerbait with the 6'10" heavy and the rod cracked from the butt up through the reel seat. when i contacted falcon, they would not honor the warranty because i was told the only way that could have happened is if i would have stepped on it prior to casting which i know for a fact i did not. i feel like this was a fluke, though, and would not hesitate to purchase another.
From: Dan: Small Town, WV
Comments: as stated in the micro guide version of this rod review i am a tackle junkie and you cannot get a better rod than this for the price, there are a couple that i believe are just a bit better for under $200 but also very close to $200, this is almost half the price of those.
From: James: Ft. Polk, LA
Comments: very pleased wit this rod. I have the mojo and the veritas aswell and I must say this is my favorite. Paired wit a lews speed spool and 15 lb invisx line is a match made in heaven for around 200 bucks. I have more expensive rods but this ones action weight and sensitivity are unbeatable. Only rod I like more within 40 bucks is my Powell max. That stick is amazing. But if ure in the market for a 100 dollar rod. I'd take this one over veritas and mojo. Unless ure looking for a really stiff rod. Then I'd take the veritas
From: Dave: USA
Comments: I just received the Bucoo 6'6 Medium Moderate action. The Rod is very light, well made and has the perfect action for my intended purpose, small Crankbaits and Spinnerbaits. Balances well with my Revo S and best of all Made in the Good Ole USA.
From: Eli: WV
Comments: These Bocoos are some awesome rods for the money lightweight and great feel cant beet them for the price.
From: Lance: Livingston, TX
Comments: I just recently bought a $180 with the same action as my Bucoo but I am way more happy with the Bucoo. Its super light and sensitive. U can easily fish this rod all day. Will be trying the micro guide Bucoo next.
Comments: Did a lot of research for a rod to throw 5/16-5/8oz jigs before deciding to go with the 6'10" Heavy BuCoo paired with my Curado. It is just awesome. Incredibly light, super sensitive and suprisingly comfortable with no cork handle. I have always had cork handled rods and was a bit skeptical of buying a rod with EVA foam, but it was actually really soft and comfy in my hand thus not an issue at all. For $100 you arent gonna beat this rod, pull the trigger and buy this rod over others at the same price point. One thing I will say is that you need to buy one action heavier than what you typically need or are looking for. Ex. if you are wanting a Medium action get the MH and if you want a MH go with the Heavy, etc.
From: Brett: Saint Louis, MO
Comments: I recently bought the 7' Medium action for light plastics and jigs. However, I have found it makes a fantastic small/light crankbait rod. Has a good action and enough tip to really sling a light bait a good distance. Great rod. This is easy a $125 rod.
From: Jim: Woodstock, GA
Comments: Fished the 7' med heavy crankbait last year. Love throwing redeye shads and wiggle warts on this rod. Held up much better than st croix mojo bass at the same price range.
From: Nick: Loz, MO
Comments: I purchased the Bucco looking for a solid rod for getting the fish out of the pads when im throwing a frog. ive had no problems getting big dogfish, bass, and northerns out of the thick stuff. dont worry about the rod, but make sure you have a good reel. LOVE THIS ROD!!!!!!
From: Gunnar: Viroqua, WI
Comments:Purchased a 6'6" BuCoo and very pleased. Great rod and if you are looking for a light, dependable and extreme fishability then buy one of these rods. You won't be sorry.
From:W.A. Hemingway, SC
Comments:Just got my Falcon BuCoo in and I really like it. The 6'6 Medium Heavy is perfect for throwing worms and light jigs in tight places when I am river fishing in the Bush. If you can afford it pay the extra $60 and get the Cara T7. Overall I have little complaints, wish the butt was just a little longer. Go Falcon, the only rod I will fish..
From:Scott: Conway, AR
Comments:For the price this is the best Falcon Rod yet!! I bought one knowing how much I loved my other Falcon Rods and the BuCoo, by far is my favorite!! I have 2 BuCoo's so far and I was just about to but another one for flipping and pitching until I found out they don't make one over 7' yet! I'm gonna go with the T7 Split Grip, 7' 3" Heavy casting rod.. I love this rod as well but the BuCoo is just as good if not better for $100 less! Good job engineer's at Falcon! You hit a homerun with this one! Thanks!!
From:Andrew: Morgan City, LA
Comments:Bought this rod because my other rod is on the bottom of the Delaware River but this rod is sweet. I had it rigged up with an Abu Garcia Skeet Reese reel, the whole combo must weigh 1 1/2 lbs. Buy this rod, you will not be disappointed. Great weight, great feel, the whole thing is perfect.
From:Dave: New Jersey, USA
Comments:Who says Americans cannot build a good rod for a good price. I am so glad to find an American made rod of the quality of the Bucoo rod. They are the lightest and most comfortable rods for the price.
From:William: Hohenwald, TN
Comments: I purchased 5 of these rods and they are as light as any high-end rod out there without the high-end price. Those boys at Falcon got it right...here in the USA
From:Norbert: Miami, FL
Comments:Just bought this rod today. Used it for the first time and threw a lizard, jig, craw with small 1/8-3/8 bullet weight. I drug them along the floor of the lake and bounced them as well. I felt everything the lure was doing and touching PERFECTLY! The rod itself physically might not be the best made product but anyone on here that says these are mediocre and plain and alright is out of their mind. For those of you that would spend extra and get a Lowrider, do it, and you will have a rod that weighs more and isn't balanced as well. Yeah it might be made a little better with a little more expensive components, etc. but who the hell cares. I don't buy rods to look pretty, I buy them to perform, and this rod will easily out perform most mid, some even high range products. Ok so the foam handle is mediocre and what not. Who cares, its very comfortable and when I'm fishing all day, 5 days a week, my elbow-arm-wrist thanks me for not choosing a rod with cork,a forearm, heavy guides,so much thread you could disassemble it and make a shirt. This rod with a shimano chronarch 51mg is the ultimate setup. 9oz's, are you kidding me???????
From:Adam: Rome, GA
Comments:I have 2 rods. One for Texas rigging and one crankbait. I am very impressed with there quality and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a rod. The price is excellent as well.
From:Johnny: Kilgore, TX
Comments:WOW! Talk about surprised. I bought this rod to replace my daiwa and can't believe the balance; also, the weight of this rod is unbelievable for the price. You won't be disappointed.
From:Gerard: New York, NY
Comments:I got the 6'6" rod with an Abu Garcia stx reel and it's the sweetest set-up I have ever fished with. The rod is extremely light and with the stx it is such a smooth set-up.
From:Billy: Jacksonville, FL
Comments:Very cheap handle and the MH 7' model acts more like a M with a parabolic bend. Would make an okay cranking stick, but is certainly not a MH rod. Be warned. Bang for the buck, I'd go with a Shimano Compre or Falcon LowRider. They don't have the split handle. I haven't found a decent rod with split handle that's less than $130 though.
From:Nick, Washington, DC
Comments:A buddy of mine just purchased the BCC-5-166 Bucoo last week. I used it this weekend in a tournament. This rod is an absolute pitchin, flippin, & skippin phenom!!! It's weight is perfectly balanced. & it has the backbone for a good hookset. Awesome Rod!!!
From:David: Poplarville, MS
Comments:Comments:these rods are just split handle "originals". I just bought two not knowing what to expect and they're not bad, just not great. good rod for the money I spent ( I got 15% off) but I would spend another $20 for a Lowrider.
From:Craig: Belle Rive, IL
Comments:All I can say is WOW! I needed a replacement for my Daiwa and this rod exceeded my expectations. A friend of mine picked this rod up and stated "How much did you pay for this rod its super light?" He was surprised when I told him 99 bucks. He was also surprised that it weighed less then his top of the line Fenwick. It has to be the best rod for the price. OH BTW it looks awesome too.
