Still built with the legendary feel and actions that millions of serious anglers have come to love, the Fenwick HMG Series Rods are known as the rods that started the graphite craze. The legendary Fenwick HMG Spinning Series Rods now also feature TAC handles for an increased grip in all fishing conditions, as well as, lightweight Fuji soft-touch reel seats for enhanced ergonomics. Premium Fuji Alconite Guides also provide 80% greater compression strength and are 20% lighter than Aluminum Oxide. The series still maintains the classic lightweight, high modulus blank designs and super strong Carbon Veil hoop fiber construction. Carbon Veil is a non-woven, multi-directional hoop fiber that creates a shield of protection around the 100% High Modulus Graphite, resulting in a higher strength- to-weight ratio and increased sensitivity. Perfect for anyone who desires performance rods perfect for every application, you’ll make a wise choice with the Fenwick HMG Casting Series Rods.

Customer Reviews

Comments: this rod is excellent. I have it paired up with a revo premier and it works for everything. From throwing shrimp on a popping cork for trout to throwin the lightest of shakey heads. It performs better than all my st croix rods. Great value for the money

Comments: The TAC material falls apart when this rod is fished heavily (I catch about 20-40 bass each trip and the TAC material gets wet from handling all the fish and starts to fall apart after 1 year of use).  TAC material = -1.  And rod weight = -1.  So this thing gets an 8 out of 10 rating.  Things you need to know:  It's not a light rod by any means.  But power is excellent.  Takes a beating and asks for more.  Sensitivity is above average, nothing to get excited about.  The reason I love Fenwick = I am ruthless with these rods and have every confidence that they won't break on me while pulling in bass from heavy cover and taking down branches in the rare occasions that my frog wants jump into the trees. It's weird that a frog would want to do that...You guys ever have that problem?  What it comes down to...would I buy this rod again?  HELL YEAH!

Comments: Has always worked well for me. Good sensitivity, flexibility and have enough of power for whatever fish you want. Good rod for the price.

Comments: If you are a true crank bait crack adict like me and have 100ds of crankbaits and thats all you like to throw then this is your rod series. one day out on the water i threw my crank twords some bushes and hung into a 120 lb gar on a 6'0 mh rod. I fought and fought for 20 minutes and he looked like a 20 year old fish or more. Rod took all its abuse and you can feel when those fish inhale the bait
