Known as the rods that started the graphite craze, the Fenwick HMG Series Rods are still built with the legendary feel and actions that millions of serious anglers have come to love. The legendary Fenwick HMG Spinning Series Rods now also feature TAC handles for an increased grip in all fishing conditions, as well as, lightweight Fuji soft-touch reel seats for enhanced ergonomics. Premium Fuji Alconite Guides also provide 80% greater compression strength and are 20% lighter than Aluminum Oxide. The series still maintains the classic lightweight, high modulus blank designs and super strong Carbon Veil hoop fiber construction. Carbon Veil is a non-woven, multi-directional hoop fiber that creates a shield of protection around the 100% High Modulus Graphite, resulting in a higher strength- to-weight ratio and increased sensitivity. Perfect for anyone who desires performance rods perfect for every application, you’ll make a wise choice with the Fenwick HMG Spinning Series Rods.
Comments: I am going to echo the first review by Tyler and say the 7' med mod fast are excellent rods for small crankbaits like shad raps and for small swimbaits on jig heads. Loads up nicely when fish hit and does a good job keeping them pegged while fighting them close to the boat. Excellent rods for small reaction style baits. Price is great as well.

Comments: The 7 FT Med Lght is a terrific #7 Shad Rap rod. Use 8 pound mono and a 2500 size spinning reel and you have a fish catching machine. You guessed it, Shearon Harris Lake in Feb. and March.

Comments: got the 7' m/mf as a compliment to some st croix legend tournament spinning crankbait rods, and the fenwick holds its own with them. its not quite as light (not heavy by any means) and a great action to it. i like throwing smaller swimbaits on a jighead and jerkbaits on the rod, works perfectly. especially for half the price of the st croixs!
