Fenwick HMG Spinning Rods

The first graphite rod to hit the market was the original Fenwick HMG. Now over 40 years later, Fenwick continues to push the level of rod innovation with the rod series that revolutionized the fishing industry.

Comments: I've been using the 7' medium power/fast spinning & 7'6" medium light power/fast. In my opinion, best rod ever made $100 and less. Easily comparable if not better than most 200 dollar plus rods on the market. The tac grip is awesome. Grippy & doesn't look as dirty as normal cork will.  The slight notch on rear grip is a nice touch. I love the style of fore grip personally. I grip with reel stem between pinky and ring finger primary & keep a loose grip with my pointer finger reaching the blank. When fish bite, my hand comes tight & have a solid grip. Personally I don't like fore grips on casting rods for bass fishing cause it's unnecessary weight above the reel that's unused, but on spinning rods that's what I hold onto the whole time.

Comments: Purchased the 7' ML spinning several months ago & I can easily say this is the best spinning rod I've ever owned. Apart from being cheap & incredibly attractive to look at, the rod is sensitive & durable. I've even taken it inshore fishing for snook & it performs amazingly! Will definitely be purchasing more models on the future!

Comments: Absolutely, the best rod for skipping senko's, tubes or other lighter plastics. I have used it for the new art of Spinbait fishing. Makes a great drop shot rod. Would not recommend around heavy weeds. This rod has the backbone to drive a hook home yet a lot of parabolic bend. Combined with "Bite Me" tube jigs, My hook up to land ratio is near 100%. No lie, I just do not lose fish with that combo.
