Overview
Bassmaster Elite Series pro and Fin-tech pro staffer, Dave Wolak, was instrumental in the development and field-testing of the Fin-tech Title Shot Skip Jig. Skipping jigs is a popular fishing technique on the tournament trail, allowing you to present your bait to fish holding under canopy cover, including docks and over hanging trees. This means you are getting your bait in front of fish that most anglers are passing by, resulting in more, quality bites. The Title Shot Skip Jig incorporates a planing surface with the combination of a forward line eye and the hook acting as a keel. This forces the jig to ride on its planing surface. Skipping a jig couldn’t be easier.
Its standup head is also virtually weedless, and at the heart of the Title Shot Skip Jig is the patented Retainer/Guard System. When a bass inhales and bites down on jig, the Retainer/Guard collapses, allowing the jig’s Mustad Ultra Point 3/0 Wide Gap Hook to come into play for higher hook up ratios, while also helping to keep your bait from getting destroyed. Available in a range of colors, the Fin-tech Title Shot Skip Jig has what it takes to for a title shot.
"This is the ideal head design and size for all your bass skipping needs. I can skip it under almost anything effortlessly." - Dave Wolak, Bassmaster Elite Series pro.

Comments: I like these jigs for tubes. Seem to have great hook ups hardly ever loose fish with that set up.

Comments: Good idea, but hook ups are not so good. I have used on many different baits and the fish will always come unhooked. I would say you will land 1 out of 5 fish. Seems to me the fish have to push down on the plastic keeper and push the plastic bait out of the way all at the same time.

Comments: I agree with the review above - GREAT for skipping a variety of plastics and a very good range of weights on this jig. But a screw lock instead of the centering pin would make this a 5/5.

Comments: These jigs do skip well for lighter plastics. The down side is the retainer guard though - it hard to push the plastic on so its centered, and then the plastic will slide down a little too easily after use. This would be the perfect light plastic skipping jig if instead of the retainer guard - it had a screwlock. Easier to thread the plastic on, it stays up without using super glue, and a screwlock is also shorter than the retainer guard which might even improve hook up percentage. In its current state I would give it a 3/5 rating.
