G. Loomis Bronzeback Spinning Rods - $265.00 to $270.00
G. Loomis Bronzeback. For people who chase the elusive smallmouth the combination of these two words sends a chill down our spines. Until now smallmouth anglers had to make do with rods designed for largemouth bass, trout, and even saltwater flats species. Now, Loomis has spent years of research and a lot of money consulting with the top names fishing today to develop rods with actions that are perfect for the specialized techniques that characterize smallmouth fanatics.
Lighter lines and lures, more subtle presentations, longer casts in clearer, moving water and light pick-ups are often what smallmouth fishing is all about, and G. Loomis has taken it all into account when they combined high-modulus graphite and top quality components to produce the Loomis Bronzeback rods. These rods feature quick responsive tips that provide anglers with exceptional sensitivity while the mid and lower sections provide plenty of power to subdue these high horsepower fish. There are fifteen spinning and casting actions to cover any technique you prefer to catch our favorite fish, so if you don't see it here just call and ask for it. And for what it's worth, the guy who said bass are 'warm-water' species must never have fished for smallies in the fall or winter! Here's to your next seven-pounder!

Comments: Purchased GLX version from Tackle Warehouse two years ago. Absolutely love the service I got from TW and the speed with which it arrived too. The rod itself is very nice and quite able to transmit the bait movement to your hand. this sensitivity allows you to fine tune your retrieve and of course more readily know when your are getting a soft strike. The only drawback to the rod is the noise from the REC guides with braid. Highly recommend the rod and very highly recommend Tackle Warehouse!
