Comments: I came into a 50% off coupon so I purchased the 7'11" 4 Power... It's incredibly light, stupid sensitive, and perfectly balanced; however, the rod's action is too fast to punch a big weight with braid. It should be a more fast-moderate for punching. It's a perfect flipping/pitching rod for a jig or Texas rig, but it's not a punching rod. I'm 6'4" so I can use longer rods than the average Joe... It's the finest rod I own and it's become my designated pitching rod for jigs/Texas Rigs in submerged grass, emergent vegetation, bushes, and laydowns. It's not perfect for it, but it can double as an A-Rig and mid-bigger size swimbait rod, too. I typically wouldn't pitch with a 7'1" rod, but it's so light, it's like fishing with most other company's 7'3"-7'6" rods, and the added leverage puts the odds in your favor. If you're looking for an elite punching rod, I've been using a 7'11" Expride A for a year now and it's absolutely the finest punching rod I've ever used. In truth, it feels as light, as sensitive, and as balanced as the GLX Flip Punch rod for $280 or so...
