G. Loomis IMX Spinning Rods - $294.99
Thanks to major improvements in IMX technology and new concepts in rod design, G. Loomis has taken IMX to a whole new level with the new G. Loomis IMX Jig & Worm Spinning Rods.
Flashback 20 years, the original IMX Rods were the Series that put G. Loomis on the map as the leader in graphite technology. IMX was one of the first graphite materials with a higher modulus and higher tensile strength, which translated into rods that were noticeably lighter, far more sensitive, and significantly stronger than any other rods on the market.
The new IMX Series takes that same level of innovation and performance a step further, reducing blank weight by 15% over the original IMX rods and significantly increasing sensitivity and strength. The actions, tapers and lengths have also been tirelessly tested and refined to provide a level of technique specification that only G. Loomis can accomplish. New, slender ergonomic handles provide even more comfort and control, and Fuji K-Frame guides offer incredible durability and also protect the tip section from braided line wrap. Don’t settle for anything less than the best, the new G. Loomis IMX Jig & Worm Spinning Rods have arrived.

Comments: Picked up the 7'1" Medium Heavy and it's been one of the best rods I've handled in a while. Extremely sensitive for feeling bottom structure or basically letting you know that you are down to the bottom so you can work the lures correctly. The extra length of the 7 footer never fails to put a smile on my face when casting lures and with the extra length it will power through light winds even with weightless plastics. The extra length also picks up a lot of line when it's time to set the hook.
