G. Loomis MossyBack Jig & Worm Casting Rods - $245.00 to $270.00
The new MossyBack Jig&Worm casting rods were developed with one thing in mind...Power. These rods are made with a special blend of graphite and designed with the same tapers giving them the same great actions of the G.Loomis line. The G.Loomis MossyBack rods feature AFTCO Alconite guides for added durablity. The fast taper and quick rod tip allows for accurate casts in and around tight cover. Power fishing has specific needs and these rods will not only give you the strength and durability desired but the confidence needed to land big bass hooked in dense structure. The G.Loomis MossyBack rods come in actions designed for jigs, worms, senkos, and carolina rigs.

Comments: This is an update to my previous post, G. Loomis did replace the rod for $20 and made sure that I got the replacement pretty fast (about a week). So far, so good on the replacement, however my confidence in these rods is shaken.

Comments: Got this rod back in March, I absolutely love the feel of it and have landed several nice fish with it, I have it paired with a Lew's Team Gold Speed Spool, HOWEVER I took it fishing this morning and was fishing with a Texas rigged creature bait, felt a hit, set the hook and the rod snapped in half!! I still landed the fish and it was a 17" largemouth that might have been lucky to go 2.5 lbs!! It should NOT have broken the rod, I am going to call G. Loomis first thing next week and see about getting it replaced

Comments: I have the BCR875 (7'3" Mag H) which I use for carolina rigs, and football jigs, and also some light flipping. This rod is amazing! It's light, extremely sensitive, and amazingly powerful. Lately I have been flipping willow trees a lot and this rod helps me pull the fish out with no problem! I paired it with a Core 100MG7 and its light enough to fish all day without any fatigue. I have a number of Powell Endurance rods, which I love, but this rod is just at another level. They cost about $100 more than the Powell's but for certain applications I think it's worth it!

Comments: The 7'5" MH rod is a terrific carolina rig rod. I use 20lb flouro main line, and a 1 oz. tungston weight. The extra fast tip helps the cast and the long, medium heavy rod has plenty of power to move fish. This rod is a fish catching machine.

Comments: Bought the 6'8 medium rod as my plastic rod a few years back. Have it paired with a revo stx and is a great combo. I have broke it once when loomis was not paired with shimano and now i hear the horror stories from friends returning broken rods. Loomis is unmatched quality but the NRX for 500$ i think id rather build a custom rod for that money. This is a great rod just be careful with it

Comments:I got the BCR853 (7'1" MH) for fishing senkos, and weightless plastics! First trip with the reel I landed a 10lb HAWG (fishing Lake "O"). This reel has plenty of power, and boy is it ever light weight! Balanced perfectly with an Ardent XS1000. Also a VERY sensitive rod! Never had anything that comes close the sensitivity of this rod! I previously fished with Falcon (cara) and G.loomis GL3s When I'm fishing my senko around reeds and coon tail and other grasses, I can EASILY discern one kind of cover from the other, and fish from cover. Perfect taper as well! Casts are as accurate as everything with this rod! Very had any rod as good as this one. Not too bad of a price either!

Comments:This is an awesome rod, I have the 6'8" MH model with an extra fast tip. I use it for light Texas rigs, finesse jigs, shakey heads, and drop shots. It has a nice soft tip so I can feel every bump, and enough backbone to yank bass out of grass. This is my first G. Loomis rod, its well worth the money. I will be buying more.
