G. Loomis NRX Spinning Rod Blue - $500.00 to $575.00
Voted Overall Best of Show, as well as, Best of Show in the Freshwater Rod Category at the 2010 ICAST Show.
Introducing G.Loomis’ next advancement in graphite rod technology - the NRX Series Spinning Rods are the result of the exclusive NRX construction method, which is completely unique in rod manufacturing, and allows G.Loomis to make the NRX Series at least 15% lighter than similar GLX rods, and up to 20% stronger and more impact resistant as well. By utilizing stiffer, lighter and higher density carbon married with Nano Silica resin systems, the NRX rods can be lighter - yet more durable, extremely sensitive - and yet stiffer. Light ‘ticks’ turn into thumps, and anglers can easily feel the difference between their lure dragging across silt, gravel and ridges - even at 60-feet. Offering the best at every level in terms of graphite, resins, and components - you’ve never felt rods with this much life.
All NRX rods also feature G.Loomis’ unique Hybrid Guide System, which combines the strategic placement of both Fuji Titanium-Framed SIC Guides and REC Recoil Black Ion-coated, Nickel-Titanium Guides from the stripper to the tip. The stiffer Fuji guides, closest to the reel seat, offer more sensitivity transfer to the angler, along with moving weight back to butt section and helping to balance out the rod, while the REC Guides are extremely small and lightweight, so as not to impede casting and retrieving performance. An exclusive, proprietary Skeletonized Reel Seat also keeps the angler’s finger truly in contact with the blank, while providing a sturdy, ergonomic base for the reel. Manufactured in the USA, like all G.Loomis rods, the G.Loomis NRX Spinning Rods provide anglers with the most dynamic, lightweight and sensitive rods G. Loomis has ever created.

Comments: Bought the 802S spin a couple yrs. ago. Wow, what an incredible rod. However, at 6'8" there were times I came up a bit short casting trying to reach where the action was. I use a Shimano CI4 with 10 lb. braid. After months of saving, I recently bought the 852S, which is 7'1". This length increased casting distance. You will cast farther with the 852S and still have a very light weight and Extra Fast action rod. The 852S is designed to do this and it does it very well. I am amazed with the performance of the NRX's. If you are serious about bass fishing, in my opinion, you will not find a better rod than the NRX.

Comments: Was torn between a cheaper, comparable Dobyns and the NRX 822S DSR for drop shotting. I'm a huge Dobyn's fan but got the NRX. I do not regret the decision. It is the PERFECT drop shot rod. Feeling the smallest "tick" from 10-40+ feet is worth the price.

Comments: i own the 7'1" medium and all i have to say is wow. Whether im drop shotting, texas riggin, or shaky headin the feel of a fish picking up my bait is indescribable. it is orgasmic. and the back bone on such a skinning rod, just incredible!! cant wait till i save enough for the casting version!! GREAT JOB LOOMIS
Comments: I own the 822DSR. Love the rod, the blank is very think and sensitive at the tip but has a very strong and light feel. Pair it with the Sustain FG 2500 and you have a great Drop Shot combo.

Comments: Easily the best spinning rod I have ever owned!!! I have three NRX rods: 802S, 803S, and 822DSR. I have only used the 802S and I doubled the number of bass I caught from the year before. I caught almost 600 bass and I quit fishing four months early. It is the most sensitive rod I ever owned and sometimes I have to count before I set the hook, its that sensitive and responsive. I have two stella reels on my 802S and 822DSR. I am putting a Daiwa Certate 2000HA on the 803S in March. I cant say enough great things about this rod, try one see for yourself. The casting rods are garbage froom what I have heard and read but the spinning rods are awesome!!!

Comments: What a Rod! LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT but Cork is outstanding! Talk about being able to feel that shakey head crawl over a stick or rock ...WoW! Unbelievable how sensitive they are. I have 3 mossybacks that I love and 2 NRX's that I want buried with me! LOL I too matched them with Sustains.
Comments: I just bought the the 803S JWR and matched with a Sustain 2500FE on 20lb suffix 832 and by far is one of the best combo i have. This rod is very sensitive and when the say you can feel everything on the bottom of the lake, there not lying! so far i have only took it out on the lake once. Caught a northern on the first drop, but had no problems bringing it in. This is also a very powerful rod that can do spinners and topwater if you want. i also have a cumara 6'8 with stradic ci4 for my spinning gear.
From: Mark: Champlin, MN
Comments: This is one light rod! I teamed it up with one of my Daiwa Steez reels and it weighs in at just over 10 oz. I have 10 years experience with G-Loomis rods and have found none better for sensitivity, light weight and superior strength when fighting fish. If this rod is even marginally more sensitive then my GLX rods, it will score off the charts.

Comments: I think its a beautiful rod, i own both the gloomis nrx and the st.croix legend extreme and i didnt notice much of a weight difference at all. I think the legend extreme is 0.1oz. heavier than the nrx. cant wait to use it this spring, so far so good.
