G. Loomis Shakyhead Spinning Rods - $220.00

The Shakyhead may not be the go-to tactic under normal conditions, but it's highly effective when the going gets tough. When the fish are hugging the bottom in tight cover the ShakyHead will get in their faces like no other technique. The Shakyhead is a super versitle technique that can be fished on 6# to 15# test depending on the structure that the bass are utilizing. The weedless design of the Shakyhead allows for a finesse presentation even in thick brush piles or chunk rock banks. Short, quick snaps of the rod tip will make the bait quiver, vibrate, and even stand vertical in the water, making it irresistable for even the most inactive bass.

Comments: I own two of these Loomis shakyhead rods in the mag medium power. They are my absolute favorite rods for finesse fishing. They are even more sensitive than my IMX's. The rod is a light powered tip but is very stiff through out the butt and mid section. The tip is not soft though just light and crisp, and it shuts off quickly into a stiffer rod; much like the worm and jig series, which by the way is another great rod from Loomis. If you want a great all around rod for finesse fishing and shaky heading look no further. Also makes a great rod for throwing finesse jig and porks.

SHR822S. Great balance from tip to butt lets you work a ShakyHead downhill, allowing you to feel the lightest taps. And it allows you to handle the bite when working it uphill, when the fish feel their bait may be escaping. Either way, fish it deep, fish it often.
