Overview

Ball heads are useful for a variety of soft plastic baits and these heads feature the ultra-sharp Gamakatsu hooks for positive hookups. Everyone knows about the legendary Gamakatsu hooks and this level of sharpness is exactly what you need especially when fishing with light lines and on deep structure. These heads offer the angler a choice of hook and weight combinations so you can get the perfect Gamakatsu Ball Head for your situation. The double keeper collar means the plastic will stay where it belongs even when you're pulling it through rough structure and gnarly cover. Use the Ball Head with plastic worms either open hooked or ‘Tex-sposed', for swimming a grub, for a finesse presentation of a creature bait, or for tying your own jigs. The Gamakatsu Ball Head will give good results every time.

These are authentic product from Gamakatsu, not just someone using Gamakatsu hooks in their heads.

Comments: The best largo shad head on Tacklewarehouse. Doesn't have eyeballs who cares. Throw what you want on it and it will impress you. The hook and keeper are amazing.

From: Matt: Minnesota 7/4/23

Comments: Great jigheads. I probably went through 20+ packs this season from ice-off through last weekend (December 2022.) I see comments about sizes working and not working with certain swimbaits... These work for sure if you need help: 1/0 hook fits the 2.8" Swing Impact Fat perfectly, works well with 3.5" Easy Shiner 2/0 hook fits 3.3" Swing Impact Fat and 4" Easy Shiner 3/0 hook best with 3.8" Swing Impact Fat but works with 3.3" Swing Impact Fat and 4" Easy Shiner IMHO, if you are throwing >3.8" Swing Impact, you definitely need to find a jighead with a bigger hook, unfortunately.

From: Chris: Pennsylvania 12/3/22

Comments: I have tried almost every swimbait jighead available and these are still the BEST. Perfect wire diameter hooks that are sharp and strong. They do not dull or bend after multiple fish catches. Simple bait keeper that works. Great with Keitech swimbaits of all sizes. Highly recommended......

From: Mike: Colorado 10/15/22

Comments: I really like these jig heads, especially for the price. These fit a 2.8 Fat Impact perfectly! The 3/0 is perfect for a 4in Easy Shiner and a 3.3 Fat Impact. I like that the hook shank isn't too long. When the shank is too long it ruins the action of the Keitech. These have almost the exact hook shank length as the Dirty Jigs Guppy Heads, which are my favorite, but way more expensive than these. If you're on the bank you lose a lot of open hook jig heads, and these are perfect because they're not $6 or $7 for 3 jig heads. I'll continue to buy them in the future!

From: Chris: Cincinnati, OH 1/20/22

Comments: I like these jig heads, but the baitkeeper is too big for small 3" Keitech swimbaits and they split the plastic pretty fast. The tungsten Keitech jig heads are better for small baits.

From: Shane: Rochester, NY 8/16/21

Comments: Thank you Gamakatsu for giving us a full assortment of round jig heads.  Work great for smallies and stripers while the cheaper jig heads have hooks that bend.

From: TQ: Cali and Washington 5/22/17

Comments: This is hands down my favorite jighead for throwing small kietechs on. They are super sharp and due to the small hook size they almost always get hooked right in the top of the mouth. Pair it with a 3" BPS Speed Shad in pro blue and just wait for the bite!

From: Gerik: Grass Valley 3/21/17

Comments: Just for grins, I got a pack of these for fishing grubs. I have to say, hands down this is one of the best round ball jig heads I've ever used. Nothing fancy, just a back to basics solid jig head.
