Overview

The Gambler Flappin' Tail Worm is in an elite class of soft plastic baits called the swimming worm' category. These worms are great for any standard worm fishing application. Although they work great for flipping and pitching, the real secret for the Gambler Flappin' Worm is swimming them. Rig the Flappin' Worm on a darter head, Texas-rig, a splitshot or Carolina-rig and swim the bait through cover and around fish holding structures. The big paddle tail will vibrate and thump, calling fish far and wide. The big body resists tearing even when you are fishing in thick cover. Try these unique worms for something different, we don't think you'll be disappointed.

Comments: I took a guy that does not bass fish at all, night fishing. I gave him this worm on a light Texas rig and he kicked my butt. We were fishing shallow, dirty, weedy water around docks. That was 20 years ago and I still use this worm to this day. I don't know what it does under the water, but they eat it, so I use it.

Comments: I have a multitude of paddle tail worms, some work at slower speeds than others, and water temp. will kill the action if it drops below  60 deg on some models. The best swimmers at slower speeds, and colder water will have a thinner tail just before the paddle, but these worms won't hold up to more than a few bites, and may break at the tail in brush and heavy grass. The thicker worms at the tail section will hold up better, but not swim well in colder water and slower speeds.  I've snipped the thicker section near the paddle on thicker worms to improve the swim, and that works, but can also try warming them with a hot air gun, or heat them in boiling water for a few minutes to soften the plastic.  When my worms get too torn up to use, I cut the front section off and use the last 3"-5" as a jig trailer. They make a great flipping, swimming, punching trailer.

Comments: This is absolutely the best paddle-tail worm on the market. I use it as a swim jig trailer primarily but it also works well as a finesse swimbait and is an excellent flipping bait. Caught a 32 lb. bag with a Flapp'n Tail and a Pepper Swim Jig.... I live in Michigan but this was Indiana and I have smashed them on the swim jig with this from Michigan to Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee.

Comments: I am not at all happy with this worm. Tried it on several different rigs, different line, and could never get the tail to flap. The worst part is when I tried to contact Gambler to see if it was a rigging issue they never got back to me. This worm may work for pitchn but it definetly doesnt swim!!!
