Bassmaster Elite Series angler, Kota Kiriyama, dropshotted the Jackall 4” Super Pintail Shad to win the August 2008 Bassmaster Elite Series Empire Chase at Lake Erie with an astounding 93 lb, 6 oz. bag of smallmouth. Kiriyama also took Big Bag honors and Big Fish honors on both of the final two days to seal the deal and take home the $100,000 winner’s check.

According to Kiriyama, the secret to the Jackall Superpin Tail Shad (also called the Jackall Crazy Ninja Worm in the Japanese market) is its unique pin-tail design, which allows the bait to just quiver in the water, resembling an injured bait fish. Its super realistic finish and 3D eyes are also proven to fool fish and help trigger bites even when the fishing gets tough. Nose-hooked on a dropshot rig, the Jackall Super Pintail Shad is a proven bass slayer, delivering a subtle, seductive action and extremely life-like finishes.

Comments: This is one of the best looking drop shot baits out there.  It costs a little more, but if you want to catch bass on the dropshot, there isn't a better bait.  It also has a little wider profile than a lot of dropshot baits, so it tends to catch bigger fish.  If you want to save a little money and catch fewer fish, buy a different bait.

Comments: A friend of mine gave me one of these to try in the perch pattern.  I nailed a 1.5 lb smallie on my second cast.  The smallie jumped and the bait went flying.  for me personally, 9.99 is a bit steep for a drop shot bait but these are so soft and have incredible action.  i may have to purchase some soon! this is probably the most realistic perch immitating drop shot bait on the market!  i thought the basstrix looked awesome but these definitely take the cake.
