Comments: These are really awesome baits...It's hard to really call it a "tube" because it's not at all a traditional tube bait and it's not hollow. About 4 seasons ago a bait shop near me went outta business and I got several bags of the Gary Yamamoto "BIG IKA" baits...NOT the "FAT IKA", the BIG Ika and they were SO PRODUCTIVE FOR ME. Since, I've never found the big ika in ANY store anywhere. Not here on TW, not BPS, no local stores...nowhere. And I tried anything that was "similiar" but nothing compared. When I saw these Keitech "Tubes" I was excited...When they came they were great because they had the weight that the Big Ika has(even heavier, I think, actually). I could cast a mile weightless. It produces just like the Big Ika does. It's also versatile...Weightless is one of the best ways IMO. When others r chuckin Senkos, and you're throwing these weightless, they make the difference. Totally different profile to the fish...Fish don't see a TON of tube baits but I'm sure MOST bass have never seen a tube bait falling slowwwly, horizontally, thru the water-column. It's a great new look for bass. Another great way is Texas rigged...it's heavy so it requires less weight and has a different action on a T-rig than a traditional hollow-body tube. Another AWESOME WAY to fish this bait is backwards; With an Offset Wide-Gap Hook, insert it into the bottom (In the middle of the 'tentacles') and Texas rig it so when it's hanging on ur line the nose of the bait is pointed toward the ground and the 'tentacles' are hanging open over the bait like a spider grub...Then insert a small nail weight or piece of a nail weight into the nose of the bait. I like the lunker city nail weight and I use the 3/64th size but only 1/2 of the nail weight. They can be cut very easily. Depending on depth, I may put more weight and sometimes use the Damiki Neko Sinker (available on TW. Terminal Tackle>Carolina, Nail, & Specialty weights>Damiki Neko Sinker) in 1/16th oz. or 1/8 oz. Rigging it this way makes the bait a super great "tool" for dock fishing, fishing under overhanging trees, downed trees, grass reeds, lily-pad edges, skipping, etc. It enables you to put the bait in places you could never get a bait before...With the subtle weight in the nose (facing away from you) it hits the water and quite literally "swims" away from you as it falls slowly horizontally. This gets the bait way under docks, under lilly pad mats w/ out punching a big, heavy, bulky plastic bait with a heavy weight. It will swim under overhanging trees, laydown trees...under rocks...wherever a fish may hide to ambush a meal. And when you lift n twitch it up and give it slack again it will swim backwards away from you again. Also if a fish is following/chasing the fish as you lift it, the bait coming BACK into the fish's face entices, almost FORCES the fish to bite. When a bait is swimming right into a fish's face, it will almost always react. It can also be a great bed bait when rigged backwards/nail-weight style for the same reasons...it's easy to keep it on the bed as it will keep swimming/dropping back down on the bed and/or towards the bed and appears to be a fish/creature/tube that won't stop swimming onto/thru their bed over and over... THIS BAIT IS GREAT!!! Bottom Line. Your welcome for the tips! :)

Comments: Just purchased these with my recent TW order and they look and feel amazing. I have not tried them out on the water yet but with a name like keitech you can't go wrong. The OP was correct about the weight these things by themselves are heavy!! Almost a 1/2 ounce I can't wait to go fishing this weekend at the lake I am going to flip and pitch these around big timber in hopes of enticing a big one!!! Amazing bait
