The Kistler Carbon Steel Micro Casting Rods are virtually indestructible. Featuring Kistler’s proprietary RAW carbon, graphite, sanded-fiber blanks, the series delivers steel-like strength and power unlike any other rods on the market today. Now equipped with premium American Tackle Micro Guides as well, they are lighter and more sensitive than ever before.
The American Tackle Micro Guides with Nano-lite inserts and rock-hard 304 steel frames offer some key advantages over conventional guides. A full 1/4-ounce lighter for starters, the reduced mass of the Micro Guides translates into increased vibration transfer and sensitivity. Their smaller size and the fact that they sit much closer to the blank also ensures less line tangling and fewer backlashes - eliminating the "line slap" produced by conventional guides. These same properties also allow fishing line to fly through the guides for longer casts, while neutralizing the issue of guide frame torque, as well as, broken or cracked guides/inserts.
A no fore-grip design further reduces weight and facilitates maximum sensitivity transfer, and a Fuji, blank-exposed reel seat in conjunction with an EVA split grip handle system provides all-day comfort and superior balance. Delivering cutting-edge performance, the Kistler Carbon Steel Micro Casting Rods are lightweight, super strong bass fishing tools.

Comments: bought the 7' Medium Composite Rod for crank baits and swim jigs. The tip was a lot stiffer and didn't get the feedback I was hoping for with Fluorocarbon. I converted rod to throwing frogs and top waters as it has a good backbone and flips really well with braid. I would rate the Duckett Ghost better for the same price for casting.

Comments: I ordered this rod thinking it would be used as lite weight carolina rig rod and when i got the rod it was a glass cranking rod , it never said anything about being that, but i kept it and used it for cranking its a very nice cranking rod, they need to describe rods better.

Comments: I have had my 6'9" mod fast carbon steel for a little now. I have landed some nice bass on it. I have a new found confidence in the spinner bait because of this rod. Can't wait to use it next spring. Oh, and great feeling with the chatterbait too.

Comments: Just got this carbon steel rod in the mail, havent had a chance to use it yet, but all i can say is WOW! It looks and feels amazing, light weight and well balanced. Bought this rod to replace a broken Cashion. We will see how it fishes soon! You can tell quality when you look at a product, and this is top notch. Love Kistler rods, have a micro magnesium and it is a great rod as well.

Comments: I tested my new carbon steel 7'9" heavy rod today using the A-rig and hollow body pad crasher frogs and it works wonderful, didn't miss a fish on the frogs but no bites on the A-rig so far.Did very good on both set ups. I will be trowing heavy jigs and use it for punching grass next outing, I know it will perform as good also,it is awesome, love it already! I guess it won't be my last Carbon Steel!

Comments: Got my Carbon steel Micro on a 7'6" heavy moderate fast action on 6/5/13 and it is a great rod that performs to the highest levels. Very good parabolic action but with lots of back bone to get the fish to the boat quickly and effectively, very good on umbrella rigs and heavy swim baits, I have to try it on heavy punching next but I am sure it will be great on that also. Light for a heavy action 7'6" rod too! Highly recommend it!

Comments: I cannot speak specifically about the new Carbon Steel's but Kistler's 2013 KLX rods are like "cheating". Kistler has never disappointed me and I've been fishing them longer than anyone I know. Kistler is fishing's best kept "secret"...at least around here they're not extremely popular. I've tried them ALL. The highest end of St. Croix, Shimano (ugh for rods), Abu Garcia, etc. and truly nothing compares. The OH-SO-COMPETIVE/Up increasingly popular 99$-130$ range in rods is blowing mine, and most people's, mind. Abu Garcia Veritas fish better than 250$ rods from 3-4 years ago. So I am very intrigued by the Carbon Steel...I can pretty much guarantee they'll perform amazingly and the weights listed on Kistler's site for these rods is very impressive. And the KLX Series or "Kistler-Loomis Xperience" (only available direct thru Kistler) is UN-BELIEVABLE. Teamed up with Gary Loomis and North Fork Composites these rods are utterly INCREDIBLE so I expect nothing less from these Carbon Steels honestly.
