Kistler Carbon Steel Micro Casting Rods - $89.99 to $119.99
The Kistler Carbon Steel Micro Casting Rods are virtually indestructible. Featuring Kistler’s proprietary RAW carbon, graphite, sanded-fiber blanks, the series delivers steel-like strength and power unlike any other rods on the market today. Now equipped with premium American Tackle Micro Guides as well, they are lighter and more sensitive than ever before.
The American Tackle Micro Guides with Nano-lite inserts and rock-hard 304 steel frames offer some key advantages over conventional guides. A full 1/4-ounce lighter for starters, the reduced mass of the Micro Guides translates into increased vibration transfer and sensitivity. Their smaller size and the fact that they sit much closer to the blank also ensures less line tangling and fewer backlashes - eliminating the "line slap" produced by conventional guides. These same properties also allow fishing line to fly through the guides for longer casts, while neutralizing the issue of guide frame torque, as well as, broken or cracked guides/inserts.
A no fore-grip design further reduces weight and facilitates maximum sensitivity transfer, and a Fuji, blank-exposed reel seat in conjunction with a high-grade cork, split grip handle system provides all-day comfort and superior balance. Delivering cutting-edge performance, the Kistler Carbon Steel Micro Casting Rods are lightweight, super strong bass fishing tools.
Backed by Kistler’s One-Year Free Replacement Warranty Guarantee and Extended Prorated Warranty Service for years after.
Comments: This is my replacement rod(Kistler Carbon Steel Micro Cast Rod 7' Med Composite) for the broken crankbait rod Rick Clunn. ItÃ≠´s best rod with sensitivity and long accurate castability. Nice price!

Comments: I cannot speak specifically about the new Carbon Steel's but Kistler's 2013 KLX rods are like "cheating". Kistler has never disappointed me and I've been fishing them longer than anyone I know. Kistler is fishing's best kept "secret"...at least around here they're not extremely popular. I've tried them ALL. The highest end of St. Croix, Shimano (ugh for rods), Abu Garcia, etc. and truly nothing compares. The OH-SO-COMPETIVE/Up increasingly popular 99$-130$ range in rods is blowing mine, and most people's, mind. Abu Garcia Veritas fish better than 250$ rods from 3-4 years ago. So I am very intrigued by the Carbon Steel...I can pretty much guarantee they'll perform amazingly and the weights listed on Kistler's site for these rods is very impressive. And the KLX Series or "Kistler-Loomis Xperience" (only available direct thru Kistler) is UN-BELIEVABLE. Teamed up with Gary Loomis and North Fork Composites these rods are utterly INCREDIBLE so I expect nothing less from these Carbon Steels honestly.
