Kistler designed the Carbon Steel Micro Spinning Rods to be virtually indestructible. Featuring proprietary RAW carbon, graphite, sanded-fiber blanks with steel-like-strength, the power of the Carbon Steel Rod Series is unlike any other rods series on the market today. The American Tackle Co Micro guides are nearly bullet proof as well thanks to their rock-hard stainless 304 steel frame and DURA-lite rings. A full 1/4-ounce lighter for starters, the reduced mass of the Micro Guides translates into increased vibration transfer and sensitivity. Their smaller size and the fact that they sit much closer to the blank also ensures less line tangling and fewer backlashes - eliminating the "line slap" produced by conventional guides. These same properties also allow fishing line to fly through the guides for longer casts, while neutralizing the issue of guide frame torque, as well as, broken or cracked guides/inserts.
The Fuji blank exposed reel seat provides a solid base for your reel and the EVA handles and zero fore grip design are sure to make your day on the water more productive and comfortable. Kistler’s original open "hook hanger" design also allows for quick and convenient hook storage, even without removing the bait or dulling your hook point. The toughest rods money can buy, the Kistler Carbon Steel Micro Spinning Rods won’t let you down.

Comments: I got the 6'10" Med this winter. I've fished with it quite a bit this sping and it is one of my new favorite rods! Super sensitive and good balance. It hasn't given me any trouble so far. It's very stiff for a Med power, extra fast definitely means extra fast. The fast action is perfect for shakey heads and dropshotting with 8lb Flo. I wish they made one with regular guides too so I could use braid and a leader if need be. An excellent value for $100 rod!

Comments: By far the lightest strongest rod I've ever used. Blows all others out of the water. Tried Shimano, St.Croix doesn't even compare. Awesome feel and sensitivity!!!!

Comments: This review is primarly about Tackle Warehouse. I bought this rod (6'10" dropshot) and paired it with a Quantum Smoke reel and on my first trip out on the boat the rod tip was broken off about 4 inches from the tip. I had not even had an opportuity to cast it one time. I am not sure how the rod was broken, my best guess that it was stepped on. Anyway- long story short, I emailed TW and explained that the rod was broken while not in use. TW responded by not only agreeing to replace the rod, but they even sent me a shipping label for free. In a world where companies constantly take advantage of customers it is so nice to be treated frankly much better than deserved! Tackle Warehouse for life!

Comments: Awesome Balance and weight. Got the 6'10'' shakey head rod and it is perfect! I would recommend it for shakey heads, tubes, and even small jigs.
