Comments: I own 3 mags,1 zbone , and 1helium. they are all top notch rods. the 7 ft. med. cranking mag i've been able to get 35 to 40 yards on bandit 250 ledges. so i believe this coming summer i can throw a 6xd or basstar or bomber#7 about 50 or so yards, so i would say that it is a good launcher and light for a cranker.

Comments: I love the magnesium series rods. I purchased the 7ft medium model. I can say IÕm a little let down I have tried 3 different reels on it and all the same results. Not a very long distance cast with any of them (revo stx, revo winch, and Johnny morris elit). I tried the same lure KVD 1.5 with all reels. It just lacks backbone to launch it and same for the hook set. Now you can feel every little thing it hits. I would just look at something else for cranking.
