LIVETARGET Glass Minnow Baitball Jerkbait - $14.99

2013 ICAST Overall Best of Show Winner

The Live Target Glass Minnow Bait Ball Jerkbait is part of the Live Target’s award-winning Bait Ball series of lures. Featuring multiple baitfish profiles within the bait, it gives the appearance of a small group of fish (or bait ball), which has been separated from the main school. When bass attack a school of baitfish, the baitfish scatter and then instinctually form smaller bait balls in an effort to regain the safety of the school. These little isolated groups of baitfish are exactly what bass target and chase once the school has been disrupted, and they are exactly what the Koppers Live Target Glass Minnow Bait Ball Jerkbait imitates. Perfect for those times of year when bass are keying on tiny baitfish, the Live Target Glass Minnow Bait Ball Jerkbait provides an imitation you can cast and fish with conventional gear and still mimic the smaller baitfish. Available in a range of colors, the Koppers Live Target Glass Minnow Baitball Jerkbait taps into the impulses of foraging bass, and allows you to present multiple baits without throwing an umbrella rig.

Comments: not only did i catch several bass on the crank bait version but i also got lots of pickerel and two muskies. Bought six of them so far and will continue to use this lure when ever i need my confidence bait.

Comments: First the pro: This lure did catch a nice bass first time out! The con: On that same trip, it broke! The lure has a weight transfer/rattle ball inside that helps it cast, like most other rip baits. However, after a few casts, the plastic divider inside the lure breaks (this has happened to both my original and the replacement that was sent me), and the ball gets trapped to the rear of the lure, which makes the lure sink tail first once in the water instead of staying level. You can see the part I'm talking about in the photo: it is the vertical plastic piece visible right behind the dorsal fin of the rear fish.

Comments: Bill of the bait broke after 5 cast.  I understand this can happen but hard not to be disappointed after spending $15.
