Customer Reviews

Comments: This rod is junk, first hookset on a fish the rod blew up in my face. Then I tried contacting the company to figure out the warrantee return and they couldn't guarantee they would cover shipping costs and when I tried to get confirmation on shipping costs they would not return any of my 4 phone calls over a period of a month and a half.  Never buying a Lamiglas rod again.  Good luck if you buy this rod and it blows up!

Comments: This is the second year I've been using this rod for throwing A-Rigs and swimbaits. I do agree that the 8oz rating is probaby optimistic but this rod will fling moderate sized A-Rig baits a mile. It is a good rod for the price and just what I needed to get started in A-Rig and swimbait fishing. I'm looking to upgrade in quality a bit since A-Rigs have become a go to bait for early season. I've literally landed hundreds of fish no this rod and it's still going strong. I did have to replace a couple of guides as I believe they could be using better guides for a rod that costs more than $50. I think it's a good option for people who don't want to spend $180 to $250 dollars on a swimbait rod, but I'd also say that if A-Rigs and Swimbaits are baits you throw a lot you'll probably eventually want to upgrade.

Comments: Been throwing the Hudd 68, 8" Fast Sink and Spro BBZ1 6". Has worked well with no problems. Now I just need to upgrade the reel to get more casting distance!

Comments: this rod is junk i set the hook on a fish and the rod broke in three peace one word powell rods

From: Sam: CA

Comments: A little underpowered for a 1-8 oz rated rod, not comparable to the dobyns champion series but it is 1/3 of the price.  A good rig for A-Rigs, hudds, and other swimbaits in the 3-5 oz range.  Anything over 5 oz seriously overpowers this rod.

From: Michael: Central Coast, California

Comments: Great rod for the price, tons of backbone, throws 8" hudds great! Handle could be a bit longer but it's a great value for what you get. I prefer it over the two okuma Guide Selects i've owned
